This is a great Charity Shop! It is very large with lots of sections to explore and it's well set out with lots of racks and cabinets. The shop mainly features lots of vintage/ retro gear. The is a lot of really good authentic clothes, dinnerware, books, ornaments, bottles and all sorts of things!! It's really quite a joy to look around. In terms of location it's not far from the Brisbane hospital but if you're coming from the north side it's more difficult to access. There is not a lot of car parking around the street. The street has all yellow lines which means you can't park in that area. There is a donation entrance at the back and the main entrance is on the main road. They have three fitting rooms which are often very busy curtained by big old wool blankets. The service area now has screens up for covid- health reasons. The clothes are set out in to size 10 12 14 etc for ease of purchase. Will return.
They have a decent size store, sell pretty much everything you’ll need, but DEFINITELY not at charity prices… which is why we visit these places, right? Read On Still perhaps worth 1 visit, just best to go there knowing there will prob be higher prices for things. I’ll touch on: HOMEWARES CLOTHING CUSTOMER SERVICE PARKING OTHER ITEMS SOLD HERE HOMEWARES: I needed to buy some dinner plates… just 2 plain basic ones. They were asking $4… per plate… I checked the price as some other plates were $3 each & the mugs were around the same prices. Btw these worst branded plates either… they have those upstairs CLOTHING: Well, anything that they could palm off as some alternative ’vintage’ ‘retro revamped’ style as they call it which they have separated from the other clothes….. idk about you, but I’m NOT looking at buying a old, obviously worn out plain Tommy Hilfiger polo with a hole for $35… I can go to David Jones for a brand new plain polo, hole free for just a little more… which I guess you could argue if it’s even ‘retro/vintage’ at all if you can just go buy it from DJs now?! CUSTOMER SERVICE: Always a pleasure to deal with. They’re often well staffed. PARKING: Free & It’s down the side of the store off the main road. There’s some parking there approx 5-6 spots, but if it’s busy, you may want to park just on the street behind the unit complex next to their parking. This is a charity store! People often go here to buy affordable clothing, homewares & maybe find something really cool… but normally because they can’t afford to buy a $64 loose piece dinner set. Sometimes I get some good things here but I do wonder as lifeline get these things for free. SOME OTHER THINGS THEY SELL They sell books altho most quite expensive craft, a bit of furniture, kids toys, clothing, shoes, jewellery, kitchenware, small appliances, kids clothing, vintage tea sets upstairs, decorative things, DVDs & more.
Great place for cheap reading glasses, 2 for $7, lots of decent cloths & home items, helpfully staff, parking a bit tricky at times.
Awesome store with friendly staff and a huge range! A big thanks to Janet for helping me find exactly what I needed!
Prices match ebay advertised pricing , not sold prices, not many bargains left . Wife found a Dress that was the same price as target . May as well go back to the chainstores.
Amazing shop with lots of bargains. Friendly staff
I'm going to go easy because they've only just reopened since the floods. Horrific parking; somehow worse than their last location on Newmarket Road. Otherwise pretty good in terms of affordability if you can get in there - reasonably priced on clothes and tech, usually willing to negotiate a little which is more than I can say for 90%.
Clean and super friendly staff. I'm a tad biassed however, I work there
Good variety of items, lovely staff, and they sell furniture items unlike most
One of my favourite Brisbane Op Shops. It is very easy to drop donations off. A huge range of goods is displayed in a way that makes sense. Quite a range of prices.
