An extensive menu coupled with an exciting array of sweet and savoury dishes in the cabinet, plus the usual pies, scones and cakes means that most people will find a delicious treat or meal here. We travel from Auckland to Okato on a regular basis to visit my son and family and decided to have lunch at a recently opened café situated at the roundabout as you enter the village. Wonderful surprise ! Great food, great service, a well stocked food cabinet and a great menu with a varied selection of healthy vegan meals. I had the mince on toast and it cannot be faulted. A great cup of "deconstructed" coffee added to the enjoyment of lunch see the attached coffee instruction card :-. If you are travelling through I would highly recommend this scrumptious pit stop!
Gorgeous place with lots of character and charm. Great food with loads of options for gluten free and dairy free. I had the buckwheat pikelets and they were delicious! So light and fluffy and beautiful flavour. Highly recommended!
Great setup and atmosphere but we were really disappointed with the portions of our Lemonwood "pile up" at $22. Would be nice if there were a bit more on the plate. We had a lovely 2nd round at the cafe across the road.
We called in on the way back to Hawera. We should have stopped before. Really enjoyed the fun concept of deconstructed flat whites and the cheese and onion scones with relish very tasty. Will definitely make Lemonwood a must stop destination again. A great quirky atmosphere very bohemian.
Barbara knows her customers by their first name. Her support staff are their to back her up, & are more than capable of running Lemonwood on Pride alone. The little touches make Lemonwood a stand-out for any occasion on the coast , Surf-Highway 45. You have to go back for a second round, because you missed it all.
The best vegan restaurant we have ever visited. My girlfriend and I came here to celebrate her birthday and boy, we were not disappointed. Every food they had put on our table tastes so delectable. Also, I do appreciate the effort exerted when one of their staff presented the birthday cake with matching birthday song. That was so lovely. Thank you very much Victor and the lovely lady for your cooperation with the surprise birthday cake! If I could give higher than 5 star rating, i’ll definitely rate this place much higher than this. Big thumbs up! So to those who are planning to drop by and looking for a vegan restaurant in New Plymouth, look no further, visit Lemonwood Eatery and you’ll have one reason to keep visiting New Plymouth again and again.
It's worth visiting Taranaki just to eat at Lemonwood Eatery! On my last visit to the region we dined there twice and got food to take away another time. It's lovely to eat there because of the lovely interior and outside eating area, it's unique and comfortable. Taking food away is easy and they provide home compostable containers and utensils. Their baked goods are amazing, I've loved everything that I've tried and my non-vegan cousins loved the muffins I brought them! The staff are super friendly, passionate about their food and lovely to talk with. Dining at Lemonwood is a must for any foodie, even if you're not vegan!
Very attentive staff. Great presentation of food - even a humble sausage roll is made to look a work of art. All topped off with a deconstructed coffee. What is that you may well ask ? Best you get along there to experiance it for yourself.
A quirky, welcoming and warm vegan Cafe. They give you deconstructed hot drinks and the food so very yummy. I love a cafe that offer mugs instead of the generic coffee cups.
Super tasty cakes and loads of uten free options.Food: 5/5
