We chose this restaurant randomly and are so glad that we did. The food was devine and on par with our favourite Indian back in Western Australia. The food is authentic Indian and presented nicely in little aluminium bowls with handles. The restaurant is BYO so I was able to bring my wine with me. I highly recommend the Legacy of India.
Good food and friendly service The food in this little restaurant in the centre of Moruya is good. The curries are a little too sweet and creamy to be authentic, but the chefs adjust the heat and hot does really mean hot to your taste preference. I don't believe that they have a tandoor oven there - the naan and the chicken tikka didn't have that char-grilled flavour but the service is really friendly and the prices are reasonable. BYO is a plus.
Had a marvellous dinner for four. Wait staff were brilliant. Food arrived in a timely fashion, in good portions, with the desired amount of 'kick' for the one who ordered his curry hot. Garlic naan was yum. The meat in all our meals was very tender, melt in your mouth. Would visit again when next in the area. Vegetarian options: Lots of options for the vegetarian in your group. Parking: Easy parking behind the venue.
Extremely surprised and delighted with our dinner here. Delicious and tasty, could not fault any of the 5 dishes we ordered. Will definitely be back and have recommended to our friends.
Had really good Indian vegetarian food, sadly we didn't realise that we ordered 3 similar dishes from the vegetarian section so it kinda tasted similar. Mango lassi was great, wasn't really sweet which was good.
Delicious Indian Cuisine Some friends who live in Tuross Heads introduced us to this BYO restaurant and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent. The interior, while quite plain and simple appeared clean and the tables well spaced apart. COVID safe measures were in place. Most of the staff were pleasant enough there was one ‘officious’, unfriendly young girl but I couldn’t say we were ‘warmly’ welcomed. This is possibly related to the fact many customers are likely tourists and not regulars. I’d certainly return just for the food which was 4.5 .
Disappointing meal here, food was bland entree chicken tikka, mains: paneer makhani and lamb saag, garlic naan and the lamb was tough, as was the naan. I just read a review after our meal that said no tandoor so may explain lack of vibrancy to the tikka and the naan. Friendly and efficient service by staff, restaurant lacking atmosphere but food was far from authentic in comparison to many others we've had.
The food and service were impeccable, and it honestly had some of the best onion bhaji i've ever had. The food was delicious, filling and flavourful. The restaurant also did phenomenally at dealing with Covid restrictions, and managed to serve takeaway and food in the restaurant without it ever interfering with the atmosphere. They were also very accomodating of my partner and my allergies nuts and shellfish which I always appreciate. Definitely worth a look in if you're in Moruya.
Was looking for something a little later in the night & got menulog from here. I have no regrets & urge you all to give it a try. Worth every cent & serving sizes are very generous. Vegetarian options: Large varity of options & Remindes you of options at regular intervals. Dietary restrictions: Remindes you of options at regular intervals.
