After a long hiking Sunday we decided to try out this japanese restaurant without expecting too much. But our expectations were more than exceeded! The food was extremely good and the ingredients were super fresh. The japanese staff was very friendly and all in all the food is an extremely good value for that price! We didn't try other restaurants around but it would have been really hard to beat what Leaf has to offer...
Quaint, unpretentious and delicious. I was super excited to see okonomiyaki on the menu and even more amazed when they offered to substitute in some tempura veggies to make a veg option. It was served sizzling on a hotplate with cheese on top, both of which was unexpected, but I could get used to that : I would have loved some pickled ginger with it, but didn't think to ask. Their matcha and black sesame ice creams also come in generous servings. An absolutely delightful find!
My birthday dinner was amazing. Ordered miso eggplant , salmon hotate carpaccio, salmon and verges agebitashi, sizzling seafood fried rice and home made mushrooms dumplings , heads down for all the food and hospitality, all staff and owner were so polite. Also she made my birthday cake and bloody yummy chestnut cake
Oishi!! The food at this modest Japanese restaurant is delicious - the ingredients are super fresh, it's cooked well and presented beautifully on exquisite crockery! The service is friendly, the prices are reasonable and BYO is a plus!
WOW! This is a great Japanese place in Tamborine Mountain. The flavors and quality of the food are exceptional. Prices are very reasonable, service was friendly and fast.
I can't recommend it enough. Great taste, huge portions all for a reasonable price. I highly recommend the Japanese curry if you haven't had one before. I can see why the locals all love it.Food: 5/5

Oh my!! I'm deciding for you, just do it. Depending when you go, you may need to book to save disappointment. Food is absolutely insane!!!!! Staff are so lovely and welcoming. If only my stomach was larger to fit more delicious food in
