It's a good place to have dinner at. We've had farmhouse roasted chicken and roasted duck. Both were really delicious and plentiful. The chicken especially was really really good as it was tender and had a fresh taste to it. It paired well with the side salad. The duck had good fat in it, served with sweet mashed potatoes. As always, water is given on the house. We dined in January, so be mindful that if you get the table near the front door, it might get drafty.
Tourists beware: as a non-French speaking local, I can confirm the other reviews from non-French speakers: they definitely try to rip off tourists. We ordered two blondes and the waiter said they were out, we had to order a more expensive beer. We said no, it's too expensive for us. He gave in and "changed the keg", which didn't happen at all. They always had the beer, just wanted to get more from tourists. I can understand this to a certain extent, but still. Be assertive and you'll be fine. Otherwise, nice enough quiet spot with cheap beer and assiette de frites @ €5.
This was one of the worst restaurants ever. -Staff smoke and then handle food without washing hands -Con tourists with water 4,50 when you’ve asked for tap and don’t let you refuse it before they open the bottle. -Ignore our questions and requests -Their pizza was more like soup in a crust bowl and it all falls out the second you lift a slice including the dough. Never go here!!! Other pizzerias would be much better!!!
My friends and I randomly went to this place for some quick bite. We ended up staying here for more than two hours, enjoying the food and the ambience. The patio was all booked, so we stayed inside. The restroom was clean as well.
Nice place for a coffee and hangout. Warm welcoming staff. Definitely will come back some other day for lunch or dinner. --- update September 2017 --- Came back for a quick lunch with a friend. The staff The dish is good for a brasserie. And there's free wifi :
Don't know if the server was having a very bad day or if the staff is always that rude. Got a beer with my friends and then went to a better place.
Pizzas are so amazing, especially when ordering “the formule” at 11,90 including a beer and a pizza. The price is low and the quality is very high. The service is also very good thanks to Réda.
Thank you to reda for being such an amazing time! Our first night in Paris and we felt very welcome! Thank you!
Bad attitude for tourists, avoid. There's a large sign, PINTE BLONDE 3.50, we sit down, I point to it and say,"Deux blondes si vous plaît". We get two beers which are a little chewy but okay. The bill, later, is €13. I point out the happy hour sign again but I'm told I ordered 'Deux blanches', beers that cost twice as much. They refused to back down and we had to pay it - she just turned her back and walked off. Is this a good business model I wonder? Alienate tourists for a few extra euro? I lived in Québec for two years and know how to pronounce 'blonde' and 'blanche', even without pointing at the HUGE SIGN with the beer I'm actually ordering on it. Poor, poor, poor.
Excelent service, breakfast had great value for money.
