The warm vinyl crackle of Gainsbourg, Piaf and Françoise Hardy meets the rumble of the 86 Tram at the Paris end of Thornbury, where the coffee is strong, the crêpes and galettes are comme a la maison and Astérix, Tintin and Le Petit Prince smile down on the sunny tables at Le Café Flo.

Our sparkling host Monsieur Florian brings his heavily accented culinary flair and his world famous pear and chocolate tart from the charming Atlantic seaport of La Rochelle via 15 years at the vanguard of Melbourne hospitality.

Baguettes, croissants, pain-au-chocolat, eggs, croque Monsieur and his Madame bien sûr ! But don’t forget to sample classic French specialties as you bask in the friendly village atmosphere of the Psarakos Markets precinct.

This humble spot is one of my favourite cafes on High Street. The staff are always lovely and the food is delicious. From the quiche to the baguettes to the crepes, there are tons of veggie options that are all winners. The coffee isn’t the best but everything else makes up for it AND each one comes with a little crispy rice treat.

Really as french as it can be. Highly recommended. Good food and service. Great atmosphere.

Coffee was ok but very disappointed to see that the cafe isn't appropriately following covid regulations. Handling cash and then touching food with no sanitation, seating guests close together and not sanitising tables are a few examples..

In our current covid 19 restrictions i found the staff and owner of Le Cafe Flo amazing. They were very helpful and help me out with a surprise lunch for my daughter's birthday.  Can't wait for the restrictions to be lifted so that we can dine in.  A big thank you to Flo and team.

Good place for crossiants, baguettes and hot chocolates!
