Had a yummy lunch rump with salad & veges. Nicely cooked. Friendly staff. I especially appreciated that the cashier & chef went to the trouble to identify & advise what was, wasn't & mighn't be gluten-free.

After frequenting the Lawnton Tavern regularly with my partner for lunch dates, we have decided to find somewhere else to spend our money. When querying a change to a menu item that we ordered every visit, we recieved extremely harsh and rude assistance from the barmaid in the public bar. Rather than demonstrating an appropriate level of customer service, even a smile and a quick "so sorry, but the menu has changed" would have been better than the rude "too bad too sad" attitude. She then blamed management and said "not my fault, and I'm not gonna lose my job over it" . Well I'm sorry lady, but you deserve to lose your job. I have never met such a sour, unfriendly, rude person behind a service counter. We gave you the benefit of the doubt, and returned again today. After approaching to order, again we were greeted with abbrasive and harsh tones and an extremely rude level of customer service. We won't be returning.

Whennot.is not busy it is great as they do table service. Always a cheerful crew and i have a meal there everu 8 weeks and it is always very good. Look at the lunch rump...good value and beautifully cooked tp your liking
