When we arrived, we were given a choice of outside or inside. We were seated straight away. Given a short amount time before asking for our orders. Starters came out quickly garlic pizza and arancini balls followed by all but one meal. Marinara was tasty but only included two mussels and one prawn. Did need more seafood. Rest of meals pepperoni pizza, Carbonara and schnitzel were lovely. Service was amazing. Was a bit pricey but meal sizes were big. Will definitely go again. Kid-friendliness: My boys enjoyed their meals 11 and 13yo We took leftovers home : Parking: Plenty along foreshore or in central parking Dietary restrictions: Stated allergic to mushrooms and stated this on order and receipt. :
Had seafood marinara, very disappointed. Menu said prawns, squid, scallops and muscles. There were no scallops or squid at all only 3 prawns and 3 muscles and nothing else but spaghetti. However the prawns and muscles were very fresh 5 stars there. Staff were very friendly and great to see a loving family run restaurant thats clean and attentive. I did tell the girl when paying for dinner about my dish and she was genuinely shocked and apologized and immediately gave me a discount even when I said it's fine so cant complain about the staff at all Maybe I got the bottom of the marinara bucket and next time it might be different.
Saturday afternoon Lunch with the family. Lavoro is always reliable to serve delicious food, generous portions with variety to ensure the whole family are able to find something to enjoy. Today I had the Lamb Cutlets, cooked to the chef’s recommendation of medium rare. They did not disappoint. Another great experience at our local Family owned Italian restaurant.
We were here on Saturday night with a party of 38 Lions from our District Convention and they were magnificent, the front of house staff were fantastic and handled the large party very well. They were all smiling, efficient and fast even with the rest of the restaurant full too. Our food was delivered hot, fresh and delicious, no one was missed and nothing looked or tasted like it had been waiting on the pass. When it cam time to pay, they allowed everyone to pay individually. Fantastic!!! I would recommend Lavoro to anyone whether a couple, or a small or large party.
Unbelievable. My wife and i had some time off, she desperately wanted to try arancini balls for years now, and this place was the friendliest on the phone So glad we went with that! We ordered the pumpkin and feta arancini, the salt and pepper calamari, and the prawn aglio e olio. Amazing. To be honest, the calamari was a little cold, but that's because we ordered takeaway, then were late picking it up - not their fault at all. And, even a little lukewarm, it was so good! My wife loved it, as she did the arancini balls. And the smell of the pasta which is as far as we've gotten - I'm writing this while she drives home; arancini and calamari we can eat on the road, but the pasta felt a bit beyond the... Well worth the 30 minute drive from home - we'll be back again soon, with our kids, and this time we'll dine in the restaurant looks large, spacious, friendly, and like it has a great atmosphere.
I ordered 3 Pizzas and a Garlic bread for $77 and all 3 pizzas were under cooked. The meatlovers pizza has whole slices of ham on it. For $77 i could have gotten better quality from Dominos pizza and more than 3 pizzas. I then approached then approached them to ask for a refund which they did ask me to email them which I did and did not get a reply from them. Poor quality of food Poor service Such a sad thing to say about a restaurant that I have actually had good quality pizzas at in the past.
Food is good, there’s some staff members not even concentrating of what I ordered instead of mocha she bring us another bottle of water and I call another staff member but she pass me on to another person.
It was enjoyable, nothing amazing that stood out to me. Had the Mushroom Gnocchi and it was a good portion, however, seemed very oily. The Lamb Chops were nice but a bit oily too. Can’t go wrong with some Fish And Chips but the portion is very large and it seems such a waste to leave so much food uneaten. Waiter forgot one of our drink orders which is only a small mistake which is ok but it was hard to get someone’s attention to ask where our drink was despite the restaurant not seeming that busy inside on a Thursday. The walls don’t seem very clean with leakage stains dripping from the air conditioner which is a little off putting when you’re table is directly under it.
We had a great family night out here. First visit for us. It was crowded and noisy, but that’s not necessarily bad thing! We had to wait 50 minutes for food, which was a shame. When we asked why it was taking so long they told us two chefs were not working that night. That’s not too bad, but if we had been told this when we arrived, we would have ordered enough entree dishes to keep all 5 of us, 3 who are kids, happy and fed. Prices are great and service sizes were amazing. We would go back if in the area, but would encourage them to communicate better with patrons if there’s a potential long wait.
Had a late lunch on father's day, they were getting ready for a rush hour dinner but welcomed us with courtesy. We had our dog with us, no problem! We had a feel of a Parisian cafe with our table on the footpath, a dog patiently waiting for us. Excellent service and yummy food.. we had the Polo Avocado and Garlic Bread and kids had the Margherita pizza.
