LaVida has a relaxed and luxurious atmosphere in the courtyard. The staff were friendly and the service was reasonably fast for a Saturday night. The tapas menu offered a lot of choice with decent sized portions. Two tapas plates would be appropriate for a dinner. The mains have less variety but provide a wide net if you're looking for something more than a tapas plate. The pricing seems fair considering the size of the venue and the effort put into the food. LaVida provides a lovely setting for a warm, group meal or a romantic evening out.
Generally good however a few small problems. Overall the food was lovely and staff were friendly however we placed an order for tapas at the beginning of the night to be served in 2 lots with time between. I love halloumi cheese and I specifically look for it when I go out. We ordered halloumi at the beginning of our evening to be served in the second lot. We enjoyed our first three dishes and when it came time to clear the table the waitress said they had run out. While the croquettes we had instead were lovely it was a disappointment none the less. I saw other tables getting the halloumi while we were eating. The other issue was a large chip in one of the bowls our Octopus was served in see image which isn't what you would expect from this kind of establishment. The staff were lovely but run off their feet with 3 large parties and multiple small tables. Realistically they probably needed an extra waiter.

The food is absolutely fantastic! Our party of four all enjoyed our meal, I had the Lamb cooked to perfection and as requested. Service second none! Highly recommend this restaurant Kev and Karen have done a great job, the "Cellar" room offering only the best lineup of entertainment. Be back soon!
My partner and I had dinner here. We were greeted warmly. The food was delicious, especially the dips. The service was good; the owner didn't mind to have a chat. We will happily go there again.
This is a great restaurant and bar. It has recently been sold with Kevin taking over the reins from David. Kevin has many exciting changes in the planning which will build on the excellent reputation LaVida has. I was recently there for a welcome dinner for John Graham MLC. Our party comprised 20 people. We had a set course Tapas Dinner comprising of 2 courses for $35 plus 8 bottles of wine for an extra $200. The food was amazing. Each dish was fresh, well presented and had the very best of flavours. The wines were good choices and with 20 people no one complained. THe staff were great, service was friendly and efficient and all our requests were attended to. All in all a great night in no small part to the excellent company and the great food, wine and service.
We came quite late to Lismore after the cancellation of our flight. The nice music guided us... Coming after 9pm, we were nicely greated and the owner ? accepted to re open the kitchen that had just closed. We were grateful for it as Lismore does not have too many option after 9pm. The food was good and we ll stop by again with pleasure if we come again in the region
Amazing friendly service set in a large courtyard. Tapas were large I had prawn muscle chorizo it was a flavour bomb and the seafood cooked to perfection all at a very reasonable price 10/10 highly recommend
Was not overly impressed considering the price. Food was decent. Service seemed a little lacking even though the food was delivered promptly. Was my first time here and was for a lunch service so perhaps I just missed my timing. Would give it another go.
Great tapas and service. One dish was not of the standard of the rest, and the suggestion that it could have been better was gratefully accepted. Well worth a visit.
