Lovely pies!! I tried the Steak & Mushroom Pie, the gravy was tasty and the steak was high quality and chunky. My friends commented that the meat was a bit dry in their Curry Beef Pies, mine was great however! The portion size is great and definitely feels well priced - the bottom of the pie could be crispier, as it was slightly soft - but I do imagine it is difficult getting that crispy on such a hefty pie. They served them takeaway with paper plates so it's manageable regardless. Overall my pie was probably a 7.5 / 10 Would definitely try more of their pies and this could easily go up to a 10 / 10 with a crispier pie bottom and if it had more mushrooms, as there were less than expected! The front of house staff were super helpful and the coffee was perfect! The building will fill up at peak hours, but the line moves very fast so don't be too intimidated. If you are after something specific I think you can call ahead and have it put aside also! Definitely keen to visit again
If you're looking for great cakes and pastries, then you can't go past here. It's not really a dine-in place there's a small amount of seating outside, but it's a great grab and go bakery. Their pastry is melt-in-your mouth good. Highly recommend if you have a sweet tooth. Their gourmet pies are scrummy too.
Incredible pastries and other bakery goods. Small cafe with limited seating outside which is dog friendly. Very friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely return.
Wow! By far, hannds down, without a doubt THE BEST steak bacon and cheese pie I have EVER had. Great service, great products. Not too long a wait at 11:30 on a Saturday morning.
The Lemon Passionfruit Tart was out of this world! I got the Banoffee tart which was really good too. I packed the S’mores Cruffin to go and will enjoy it tonight with a hot cuppa tea can’t help myself while queuing and bought two gorgeous candles at their gift stand
The spicy beef pie is soooooo good! The fillings is not lack of beef and the heat is just right. Not too spicy. Service is fast and staff are friendly. Not much sitting. Mainly grab and go. Will definitely visit again.
This is my second visit to this cafe. Upon my first visit I got a carrot cake, which was fantastic - moist and spicy, not too sweet. I also tried their cinnamon scrolls which were one of the best I’ve ever tried! So I was looking forward for my next visit, which was today. I got a limoncello cake, humming bird cake and a coffee dacquoise cake. I also had a coffee frappe. Limoncello cake looked so pretty but I was surprised the top layer was super dry. Humming bird cake was moist, however the cream seemed to be too sweet, so I had to scrub it off completely to enjoy the cake. The coffee dacquoise was terrible, I did not even finish it. The cream tasted like pure butter, super heavy. Unsure if it meant to be that way, but I’m certainly not a fan. I did not expect for coffee frappe to be sweet. No one even asked me if I wanted any sugar or not. I don’t drink sweet coffee, so unfortunately had to bin it, such a waste. Also was surprised they did not have any bathroom facilities. So please consider your needs. I also must mention it is quite pricey. To conclude - mixed emotions really. Definitely worth a trip though, as they have wide range of different pastries, cakes and pies. If I’m around, I will be back for a carrot cake and the scrolls. Thank you.
This place really delivers the cakes are first rate. Best vanilla Slice today i can remember, perfectly delicate wafers of pastry and the toasties and sausage rolls are just fantastic. However, I had wanted to try a pie and did so today. Started off well great pastry bold flavors beef & Ale however the show peice, the steak was dry and chewy. A 9$ pie should be amazing, it was close but not so. Still in keen to try the other pies.
BEST Cheeseburger I've ever had & honestly, I'm not a fan of pickles but I enjoyed their pickles in their Cheeseburger so fresh & not overly preserved! Chips are just as good! Cinnamon roll not overly sweet & coffee is to die for!!! Highly recommended!
Loved this place. Super fast for especially how busy it is. Pie was on the sweet side which I hate.
