It is the first time we dine in. Welcome friendly staff. They bring up the food a bit too slowly. Coffee is very good. But the cold salad next to hot curry is strange combination . The banana smoothie is very nice. But the smoked salmon bagel could’ve been better if there was some more flavour.
I've been to La La a few times including at their previous location and have always been happy with my experience. Coffee - one of the best and consistently made, food - yummy and don't have to wait long for it even if you ordered one of their meals, and customer service - top rate cheerful, quick, attentive. Clean toilets too! Not sure why but the last time we were there, the music there was a pianist playing was a bit loud so we had to sit outside if we wanted to talk while having our coffee and scones. Other than that tiny hiccup, if you haven't been to La La, you should definitely give it a try.
Loved the prompt and efficient service by Paris. Her customer service skills are excellent. We ordered cappuccino, steak sandwich and spinach & cheese scones and I must say it was yummylliscious. Thank you Paris and La La Cafe for your lovely ambience and excellent service. A must visit when in Parnell For more reviews on places in New Zealand and beyond- follow my insta handle @inzea_n_beyond
Nothing to recommend here unfortunately. The service wasn’t great & information around card surcharges very confusing saying if you swipe or use a pin there’s no surcharge yet there was for any credit card so that needed to be clarified. Happy hour wasn’t very happy & we were wrongly accused around what was included, the saving was also minimal & the cocktails that we did order weren’t that great - very syrupy Espresso Martini & the Cosmopolitan our friend ordered was served in a glass tea cup? Drink maker had no idea how to make the drinks either which didn’t help. Wouldn’t go back sorry.
Fantastic food and services! Will definitely come back recommended to everyone.
Either I have not done dinning in Auckland for so long or Auckland is just a ridiculously expensive city. We ordered 2 sets of breakfast. The one with spinach is $16 and one with a sausage is $15. The portion is so small even my 9 year old boy said it is not enough. I would expected at least 2 slices of toasts. Another set of breakfast which we ordered is toast with jam and it costs $12. Really, it is 2 slices of toast cut in diagonal to make 4 pieces with some jam and butter. It is quite crazy. The one in Te Anau costed us $10 but at least the one in Te Anau were made from sourdough and bigger in portion but the one in Auckland just normal bread to us. We went to South Island tourist spot like Te Anau and Queenstown. Both places are expensive but not like this at all.
Ok experience here during happy hour, but the happiness was only $2 off wine and beer, not spirits. The espresso martini was ok, but not quite as strong as we're used to. The cosmopolitan was served in an Irish coffee glass and was overly strong. The service was very unenthusiastic and we were left wondering where the lady really wanted to be...wouldn't go back but wasn't a disaster.
Terrific sweet lemon meringue tart, and carrot cake for reasonable price.Food: 5/5
Had an amazing time at lala cafe in parnell. The service was amazing and the coffee even better. Prices were very affordable and atmosphere felt welcoming. Pie with salad was very tasty and tasted fresh, lots of stuffing inside. Coffee was to die for with wonderful art on top! Will be coming back for sure.
Very hard to get table service. The staff were standing around talking to each other while I was trying to get their attention. Once I got their attention, a staff member came over to take our order and when we finished ordering, this staff member made a rude grunting noise, so we got and left with me saying how rude she was.
