I had just spent 4 nights at this 5 star medical facility. All staff in all departments were professional, kind, caring and very respectful. I would like to mention all the surgical nurses on the Surgical Ward for their care. You all made my recovery easy and pleasant.nWill definitely be recommending this facility to others.
My relative was admitted as a patient here for elective surgery. On day of admission, there was more than a 3 hour wait for my relative to be sent into theatre. Even the nurses were questioning why she was told to come early in the morning when she was planned to have her surgery in the afternoon.nnThe consultant was quite professional and communicated clearly after the procedure. I arrived to the Lewis ward to ask what time she would be transferred. The nurse Tracey seemed to think it was a battle and absolutely refused to say which bed she would be transferred to, even when I asked her about how I would know when she arrived to the ward. Consequently, she was admitted to the ward and I only found out 20 minutes later when I went to ask again why there was a delay in transferring her from recovery.nnI noticed the nurses were unprofessional when answering call bells, some were responding “she’s not my patient, your nurse is on break” even when asking for pain relief or the fluid bag needed changing. Nurse Tracey accessed my relatives cannula many times without using gloves or aseptic technique I have a clinical background, and this can lead to a blood stream infection. The nurses don’t answer the ward phone when calling and the kind admin staff have to WALK TO THE WARD to ask them to answer calls. The night nurse was angry with my relative for pressing the call bell to assist with toileting at least stand by assistance required post procedure/sedation, and actually told her not to buzz again. Also I note that this nurses name has been mentioned before in previous reviews, avoid this hospital at all costs if you want to avoid a blood stream infection, poor clinical practice and overall poor treatment. Would never be admitted here as a patient myself either.nnThere is parking available on site however there is a walking distance and you need to call the front desk to open the main doors despite instructing their patients to be picked up on day of discharge before 10am. Many visitors were waiting outside the front door foyer waiting for the admin staff to open the front doors so we could pick up our relatives for discharge.
I highly recommend Lakeview Private Hospital for its exceptional level of care both before and after surgery. Throughout my experience, I felt genuinely valued and well cared for by the entire team, including the anaesthetist, surgeon, nurses, and administrative staff. Having undergone surgery can be a daunting experience, but my time at Lakeview, especially in comparison to various private and public hospitals, was unparalleled. I have spent 6 weeks doing rehab and the staff and programme has been absolutely amazing. The manager, Chris is very helpful and approachable and made my stay so pleasant and my recovery so much faster. I cannot recommend them enough, for all the care and support and the very friendly nature that all the staff have shown me.
I had a wonderful experience at Lakeview Private Hospital Norwest. The nursing staff were incredibly attentive, helpful, and genuinely caring throughout my stay. They made me feel comfortable and well looked after at all times. I honestly couldn’t ask for more, their kindness and professionalism made a big difference. Highly recommend this hospital!
