Lakeside Joondalup is honestly one of the best shopping centres in Perth and easily my favourite place to shop in the northern suburbs. The centre is massive but still feels modern, clean, and easy to navigate. There is such a huge variety of stores all in one place which makes it convenient whether you’re shopping for clothes, homewares, gifts, groceries, technology, beauty products, or just wanting somewhere nice to spend a few hours.nnI especially love that there are major stores like Myer, Kmart, Target, Big W, Woolworths, Coles, Aldi, JB Hi-Fi, H&M, and plenty of smaller specialty stores as well. There’s genuinely something for everyone. The food court also has heaps of options and the outdoor dining areas make the whole centre feel more relaxed and enjoyable compared to other shopping centres.nnOne thing I always notice is how clean and well maintained the centre is. The lighting and layout make it feel bright and open, and there’s usually plenty of parking available which is a huge bonus. It’s also extremely convenient being right next to Joondalup train station, making it easy to access even without a car.nnThe atmosphere always feels busy but still organised, and it’s a really nice place to walk around even if you’re only window shopping. Definitely one of the best shopping destinations in WA and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for variety, convenience, and a great overall shopping experience.

Lakeside Joondalup is a fantastic shopping centre with a great atmosphere.nIt offers a wide variety of stores, from popular brands to local shops, as well as plenty of dining options and cafés. The centre is spacious, clean, and well organised, making shopping comfortable and enjoyable. There’s also convenient parking and easy access by public transport. A great place for shopping, meeting friends, or spending a relaxed day out
This shopping centre has become increasingly unsafe. Juvenile groups and young gangs freely hover around key areas and openly harass and attack peaceful shoppers. On multiple occasions, fully tattooed adults riding electric scooters have aggressively threatened people, including families with children and newborns. This behaviour is frightening and completely unacceptable in a public shopping environment.nnThere is a complete lack of visible security, particularly between the Information Centre plaza, Pandora, jewellery stores, and the cinema access. Shoppers have been left screaming for help while no security staff respond. In some cases, security does not appear for 5–10 minutes, if at all. When they do, it often seems they have been sitting in their hideout eating and drinking, rather than actively monitoring the centre.nnAt this point, calling the police feels like the easiest and fastest way to get protection inside what has become a dangerous zone — which says a lot about how poorly security is being managed.nnIf this situation continues, families will stop coming, customers will stay away, and businesses and future investment will inevitably suffer. A shopping centre should feel safe for everyone, especially children. Right now, this one does not.
Easy access with indoor parking. Many stores very convenient, If having more food stores at the food court would be great!
