Thank you to the lovely staff who were so friendly and kind, hasn’t been so common for me on my Holliday.nThe ticket is reasonably priced and you can go back throughout the day whilst open hold onto the ticket if you wish to do so!nnEven when buying my souvenirs someone tried to come over and talk with the lady who said can you please wait I’m with someone, I’m so used to being ignored and honestly cannot fault!nnLarger than I anticipated too! Fully sized exhibits and worth the visit!
Interesting although no mention of the Chinese settlers or any Maori which is strange as Maori were the first discover gold on the area! Still definitely worth the visit, staff were friendly, art shop from locals was a treat to look at and buy. Can hire pans $5 each with a $10 deposit- accepts cash only.nnGreat time to visit, between summer and Winter - was the beginning of the towns autumn festival. Crisp but warm in the sun
Lovely museum. I appreciate the lady at the front desk who was extremely helpful and friendly! The museum was well organised and lit and my favourite is the Chinese Settlement Gold Rush Era.

The Lakes District Museum in Arrowtown is a great place to explore! It's full of interesting exhibits showcasing the town's history, especially during the gold rush. The displays are well-done and tell the story of the area. The staff are friendly and helpful too. A visit here gives a fascinating peek into Arrowtown's past.
