Spent a few very pleasant hours at Lake Weeroona and it's surrounding park, circumnavigating it and enjoying the peaceful surrounds on an easy, level, bitumen walking/cycling path. Dozens of places to stop and enjoy the views across the lake, lots of benches sprinkled around the lake, with plenty of shady trees for protection from the sun. Benches and picnic tables, drinking fountains for people and dogs, Doggy Doo disposal bags are sprinkled all around the park. Toilets, free BBQ facilities, car parking, extensive children's playground, occasional food trucks and coffee carts are all located along the Eastern side of the park.
Great place for evening walk. Very relaxing and peaceful! There is also playground for kids.
From peaceful and tranquil to busy and bustling. Lake Weeroona is a jewel in the crown of Bendigo. An exceptional green space with free BBQ facilities and a state of the art playspace greet you on arrival. The lake provides the setting to many events throughout the year. It is also home to Bendigo’s famous donuts, coffee van and hot dogs as well as the Boardwalk café /restaurant. What an exceptional well maintained area this is. Well worth a visit. *Bonus; free 240 volt continuous power is available close to several parking spaces near the toilet facilities area of the lake. See image.
My go to place when i want to do some WFH in the outdoors for a change. Love watching the ducks, birds and dogs walking around.
Pretty area with coffee van and donut truck. Lots of parking and Birdlife. Fish, run, walk your dog. Playground fenced
It's a well maintained lake with lovely paths and gorgeous deciduous trees growing around it. I think autumn is especially beautiful around the lake. If you time your visit for sunset with a walk at golden hour before sunset in autumn in good weather, you're in for a treat! I love this place. Pack picnic basket or use the bbq nearby. There's a playground and public toilets nearby. Rowers also use this place.

Great place to stop for a break if your travelling. They have a carpark, public toilets, undercover seats & tables, walking track, water views and wonderful tea & coffee, they even have almond milk! & thick shakes & cakes....& Total Awesomeness!
Excellent place to enjoy with kids. A very good play area is also available at the lake side. Good place to enjoy morning/ evening walk.
Beautiful tranquil lake perfect for a late afternoon run or a peaceful stroll!
