Lake Cave
"Lake Cave is a stunning pristine chamber deep beneath the earth. Inside the cave a tranquil lake reflects delicate formations that will take your breath away. Marvel at the unique 'Suspended Table' formation, which weighs several tonnes and seems to defy gravity as it hovers above the clear lake water."

Probably one of the most interesting caves in the Margaret River region. Although it’s a bit short under ground. At least its very informative. Of course as every cave in the region has, it must have a very long stairs down and you have to walk back up to the same way and there’s a total of 225 stairs so just be prepared. Took a bunch of photos about the cave as well as the lobby and it’s very interesting lobby I must say. It even has a mini design of the cave in doors. If you want a quick and interesting cave to visit, this is a must cave to go to.
Tom was an incredible tour guide, a champ and I enjoyed the tour and the back story about the caves and how they were formed! It was such a good experience especially it being my first time at MR! Definitely will be returning with more of my family! Amazing job guys!Wait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Definitely put Lake Cave at the top of your list, when it comes to caves, this one is certainly special. There's over 300 steps down into the caverns but you can take your time coming back to the surface, plus there's a comfy lounge waiting for you & a huge selection of gifts for you to browse through afterwards. Chat to the wonderful staff about discounts to see other unique caves in the area also
Nice cave, cost was about $65 for 2 adults and 2 children. It is guided which I love as you can ask questions etc. Our guide was lovely. The outside of the cave has had some damage due to the december 2021 fire and there’s some renovations happening to the outside but inside is still so beautiful. We have done the Nigili cave before and I think I prefer that one to this as this one was over in the hour and just not much to look at.
Beautiful cave with floating columns suspended over water. Lots of steps but our son who has Down Syndrome managed them easily. Great to see the rainforest rejuvenating so quickly after the fires! Well worth the drive from Yallingup! One of our trip highlights!Visited onWeekdayWait timeUp to 10 minReservation recommendedYes
Great cave to visit. Good general lighting as well as coloured lighting with stories for the kids. The suspended table is a great formation to see. You see a variety of interesting cave formations. Over 300 steps down but once inside it is easy going. Our guide was very informative. Great for kids. Shop with souvenirs, icecream etc. Also a picnic area and toilets. Cost was $24 for adult and $12 for children. Tours are quite regular. You can just walk in but if you want a specific tour time, book in advance on the website.
It's leg day if you're visiting caves!! Some fantastic photo opportunities during the guided tour by knowledgeable guides. If you're in the area this is well worth the trip, great value for money. If you're going to more than 1 of the "big 4" caves, you get discounted entry.
We had a great visit to this cave. A tour guide showed us round and explained everything we were looking at, the sights were very impressive. Be warned there are many stairs to decend, and then the same to ascend after the tour. But they are worth it!Visited onWeekendWait timeUp to 10 minReservation recommendedNot sure
Great caves and informative guide. Considering it had only reopened a few weeks before due to last summer fires it was amazing how much work had been done to restore accessVisited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
This was fabulous. We had a brilliant tour guide. We took our two kids 6 and 7 years old and they managed it perfectly fine - to be honest, better than the adults! It isn't too far down, but it tough on the way back up. It's only a 5 minute climb of stairs - you can do it! And it's totally worth it. The Cape team have done a BRILLIANT job! Make sure you book through their website. Tour is an hour.
