Been here a few times but this is the first time for breakfast. The breakfast was really good and just enough. They were understaffed, but everywhere is these day, but it was good to sit on the deck and relax whilst waiting. We will definitely be back and hopefully I’ll be able to do the boat trip next time too!
Very serene. Great view of the lake. Ordered the scones to see if it was the same as my last visit 15-20 years ago. Yes, it was as I remember
We had coffee and scones, I thought they were great. Nice on the balcony looking over the Lake. Ww had issues finding the walks.? As we were driving out we did see a sign just of the access road?
Beautiful little place overlooking a lake. Devonshire teas and lunches as far as the eye can see as well. Frittata Pumpkin and Spinach was filling. Traditional Scotch Egg was yummy even though egg was a little over done. Highly recommend the local tea. Local handmade peanut butter is a winner also. Light and crunchy all in one. Enjoy, I did.
Beautiful outlook over the water. Coffee and scones outstanding and the walk around lake 5+ kms a treat. Kayaking also fantastic, take the road left at the toilets, gets you down to lake's edge, easy launch. Allow an hour to walk or Kayak lake. Wheelchair accessibility: From bottom car park, follow road left from toilets, sign posted.
It was a very pretty and healing place. There were not many kinds of food and it was expensive, but the staff were very friendly. It is recommended to go on a sunny day and sit on the terrace.
Great tea house with even better views. Breakfast was tasty, poached eggs a little over cooked for my liking was was runny one was hard Iced Coffee was superb.
Had the Devonshire tea, the local black tea. The tea was hot and strong and the scones were lovely. Beautiful breeze off the lake. Been serving tea since 1920. Do yourself a favour and stop in.
Always great to find a restaurant that has lots of veggie and vegan options. The friendly owners are mostly vegetarian and that makes for a very welcoming cafe. We are the vegan kofta - remove the raita and it is all plant based. The orange cake was a melt in your mouth vegan masterpiece. Family run and very friendly.
What a great spot to sit and enjoy a coffee and some nice food, the Cafe is great and the staff friendly, food was good as was the coffee, but the views from the outside seating area are fantastic, definitely recommended a stop if your in the area.Food: 5/5
