New customer. Dec 7 2017, IN SALON quote, appointed time with the salon owner Nella who physically sighted my hair & quoted shampoo/cut/blowdry only (no colour) $120 with a $100 deposit to book an appointment. 
Wed Jan 10 early afternoon confirmation call from salon. Late afternoon another confirmation call from Nella informing she had briefed the stylist, Georgina, who would be cutting my hair in what was required. The quote still remained as $120.
Thurs Jan 11 Haircut. Nella charged an EXTRA $30 ($150) for the same haircut as quoted by her personally. I declined as the quote was $120. 24 hours later Nella phoned me at home to apologise that she had  "grosely underestimated the quote" & for "massively undercharging" me & that 'if' i was to have my hair cut with them again it would be more, it would be $180 !! 
The ONLY redeeming quality was Georgina who did a great cut & actually sincerely apologised to me ON the day, IN the salon, for my discomfort. 'Someone else' (NOT Georgina) in the salon that day expressed their bad mood at being held up from "going to the beach" & i felt i was 'her' inconvenience as the brand new customer with 'inconveniently' thick hair holding her back from "the beach". 
It was an uncomfortable, tension in the salon that day that customers are not responsible for & my first & now only experience. All round - regretful! 
I am not ashamed to say my name is Mandy, & i worked twice for the award winning É Salon in Sydney (Emiliano Vitale) who has also been my hair dresser for over 22 years & whenever i am in Sydney, they fit me in. Nella charges more than they do & does not provide anywhere NEAR the customer service of É Salon, for her prices. I did NOT feel welcome to return especially being charged 3 different but  increasing amounts for one haircut withon 24 hours & those are CITY prices with excellent customer service commanding prices like that! If 'you' cannot deliver that level of customer service,  then dont charge for it. I went for a haircut but not to be treated as an inconvenient moneypit. A customer should walk out feeling great. I walked out feeling regret. Nella's apology was conditional & insincere & La Vitas' customer service of making the customer feel like the inconvenience, are not qualities id pay for again no matter how well Georgina cut my hair. Georgina's talent is wasted at La Vita, she deserves to be working for leading salons like É Salon in Sydney.

Nelly from la vita hairdressing is the lovely angel who helped my mum and disabled uncle through the terrible bunbaberg floods. This angel took them in and fed and clothed them. Total strangers now life long friends. Thankyou Nelly and her beautiful husband Wayne and also her  immediate family and friends. You are all angels and I thankyou from the bottom of my heart. xxx
