Reasonably priced, and food is pretty tasty. The mixed paella and salt and pepper calamari were the stand-out dishes for me. Staff were very busy, but super friendly, and food comes out quickly. Spanish tapas style so you can enjoy a variety of dishes for a good price. We couldn’t see the paella on the menu but we just asked and they explained what was on offer.
This wonderful cosy Spanish restaurant located ideally on O'Connell Street is absolutely worth a visit! We have eaten Spanish food a lot in Melbourne & this is better than what we have found, I wish it was near where we live! We were greeted by Sonny, our waiter who provided excellent service throughout our visit. We had a selection of tapas including Mejillones a la marinera & Patatas bravas, as well as a Paella de Marisco. The food was all sooooo tasty & I could have eaten all night. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!
Came across La Tapita by accident and so glad we did, the staff are amazing, the food is amazing, it’s just like being in Spain! Our favourites were the albondigas con salsa de tomate picante spicy meatballs the pan tumaca con jamone Spanish garlic bread the mejillones a la Marinera mussels and of course the Paella! Couldn’t resist and also got the San Sebastián cheesecake and churros! Gracias!
The tapas came out super quick, the chicken was very good and spicy. The waiter was attentive. Unfortunately the seafood tapas was slow to come out and I found it a bit lacking in seafood. It was good but I wished it had more seafood or even more vegetables to cut through the buttery rice. It was very busy for a weeknight.
Cozy little place with great staff professionals! Genuinely tasty Spanish food.
This place is an absolute GEM! The food was delicious - every dish was balanced beatifully. We enjoyed the atmosphere - I felt like I was overseas - and the staff were delightful. The drinks were good too - might have developed a taste for Spanish wine! Great for gluten & dairy free. And you must try the San Sebastian cheesecake! Will definitely be going back there again!
Intimate and quirky little place with really nice food and service. Our table of six shared everything; stand outs were the meatballs, calamari and paella. Highly recommended for a taste of Spain
I went here on my bday with 7 people. We waited over 1.5 hours for everyone to receive their meal. Food is good but they don't do a traditional all you can eat tapas price - you have to pay individually. The main meal, paella is very small serving. The restaurant argued they took so long because they were short staffed. They said they usually bring out one small tapas every 15mins! The food is pretty good and tasty. I would not go there again in a big group, maybe alone..
Our favourite restaurant in North Adelaide. Always enjoy sitting outside, enjoying a wine and cold beer with a variety of tasty tapas and exceptional customer service. We have visited many times over the last 2 years and cannot wait to take family there in December. Thanks Sunny.
Had the paella but was a little bland. Had a few other plates that were much better and the mocktail jug was delicious. Can't remember what it was called but it was something citrus. Didn't have dessert but the rest of the table did. They seem to have enjoyed it.
