We ordered takeaway from them while at the beach and it was not great. 1. Calamari & Chips was disappointing, calamari was not tasty and for $19, I get more fries than calamari. 2. Burger and chips was a bit better. See photo and if I ever go back, I will just get this burger but nothing else. I was totally disappointed they don’t sell pizza for takeaway. It should be in their improvement list.
I visit here quite often and the coffee is the best on the beach. The meals are not too bad- average fair really. If you are down at the beach this is the best place to eat- which does say much for the other places along this strip. Service is accommodating but impersonal with the staff doing the bare minimum to keep you happy. Go there if you have to.
Food was tasteless and service was wanting in courtesy and professionalism. Our water glasses were dirty and the waitress told us they were clean because they had just come out of the dishwasher. The grime we wiped off the glasses she said was from coffee, as though the dishwasher did it’s job and we shouldn’t complain. When I asked her to wash the glasses again she huffed and rolled her eyes. The margarita pizza we ordered tasted like nothing and the muscles desperately needed salt.
Great location and really tasty food on the menu for lunch. Pretty expensive with salads being about $22 but for the location and the great staff I think it's worth the money. Also have really delicious cakes - hard to say no after a delicious lunch. Mocha is made very well too!
Couldn't get the coffee orders correct. The food was ordinary, not horrible but there definitely a lot of better options. After checking twice and being ensured that the meal was gluten free was then told, after I have started eating, that it was not. Overall very disappointing and definitely will not return.
Meeting and greetings are important especially at Christmas time! $22 for a Sandwich and an Orange juice...the Asian lady at the counter was so rude. All about taking your money and "next please"... The sandwich was average, was supposed to have "Prosciutto"...well I haven't found any in that. I am happy to pay for a good meal or a good sandwich but not for the view only. Merry Christmas.
Stoped in for takeaway pizza on the beach. Reasonably priced. 6/10 in terms of amount of flavor, but very fresh ingredients. Slightly undercooked crust makes for a messy experience.. but just wash your hands in the Harbour! The place gives off fairly standard Italian vibes.
I've visited La Repubblica twice now and have not been disappointed. I'm a huge risotto fan and I love both their mushroom and seafood risotto. They also do a good job on their pizza. If you're looking for a nice cafe with great beach views, this is the perfect place to go.
Certainly a bit pricey for what it is; I guess that is to keep the poor out of Mosman, but to be fair this is justified in the portion sizes. I had some banana bread, and i think they gave me the whole cake instead! It was actually quite half decent. Not excellent, but edible. My friend had the mega breakfast, which was LOADED with bacon and other goodies. Can certainly share it with a friend. Coffees were also decent, but also a 'touch' too pricey at $4. Nice views though :-
The eggs Benedict at $21 is not only a rip off but its not even tasty. The double smoked ham is a packet ham from a supermarket and the hollandaise sauce is a tiny serving with no taste. The $4.50 tea is not even a brew, just an insipid tea bag. Still, they get lots of people here for breakfast so perhaps it's just a bad eggs Benny. Definitely give that a miss on the menu!
