While we didn’t manage to get a table on a Saturday night, we were able to get two seats at the bar without waiting which was very lucky. I like how this place leaves spots for walks in, which makes organising a last minute date night super easy.nnFor drinks my partner had two beers and I got myself a martini and a G&T. I was a little disappointed to find the food menu had changed from what I’d seen online a few entrees were different but I get that it was a sample and things shift with the seasons.nnFor entrees, we went with the stuffed squid, scallops, and potato. The squid didn’t hit the mark for us unfortunately although I would say the scallops and potato made up for it.nnFor mains, we shared the duck and the steak tartare smaller portion- and wow, the tartare was up there with some of the best we’ve had. The duck was also really great.nnService was a bit slow but given it was packed it was pretty much expected. Overall I’d recommend giving La Lune a try. I would suggest if you are a couple to get your own main as well as multiple entree to share, as after those 5 plates we left feeling peckish as the portions were smaller than anticipated.nnFor 4 drinks, 3 entrees, one large main and one small main we spent approx $200 total.
Had dinner there yesterday. I’m French, and out of all the French restaurants I’ve tried in Australia, that’s definitely the best!!nnCozy atmosphere, and the restaurant manager is very welcoming, friendly guy.nnSpecial thanks to my former cookery school classmate Rafael who is a great chef and participated in making these delicious dishes!!nnMathilde

La Lune is a lovely French bistro nestled away in quiet East Fremantle. The service staff were warm, friendly, & attentive. The decor has a classic & clean bistro feel about it.nnFor entree we shared the octopus terrine and mushroom vol-au-vents; both entrees were delightful. For mains we couldn’t go past an entrecôte au poivre & the bavette a la lune; again, both dishes were delicious and enjoyable. For dessert we had a crème brûlée with fresh passion fruit & yuzu curd, and the dessert du jour; rhubarb & pistachio slice with chantilly cream.nnAll in all a very enjoyable experience & definitely recommend dining at La Lune if you desire some delicious French bistro classics.
I recently had dinner here with friends after seeing this place all over social media, and it definitely lived up to the hype! The outdoor seating is set up right at the front, facing the street, giving a charming French vibe.nnWe all ordered the Bavette a La Lune and it was absolutely to die for. My friends ordered a glass of their house Pinot Noir and said it was the best wine they'd ever had. The dessert menu also had a great selection, and I can't stop thinking about the Choux au Caramel...nnI accidentally spilled my red cocktail all over my white skirt, but our waiter was so kind and helpful. She quickly provided napkins and even brought me a damp cloth to clean up the mess! Thank you for being so patient with us throughout our night, we really appreciated it. I wish I got your name. We'll definitely be back!
