Just read the past reviews for La Cucina at Menai .... unsure if past poor raters went to the same La Cucina as we do but my Family has always found the food very good and generous in portions and never been able to fault ANY of the courses we've ever ordered - and we've been there many times. I find the staff always friendly and attentive, often going beyond what they need to do such as decanting my 2006 wine for me on Father's Day evening.! We will be back there six days later for my partner's birthday expecting the same great food & service.
Went to dinner Friday 10.1.13 Ok service. Very loud atmosphere. Food was totally BLAND. It looked good but it didn't even taste Italian. When I looked through into the kitchen I couldn't see anyone that looked Italian cooking. Always a prerequisite to a good Italian restaurant. The chefs had NO idea. Will not eat there again. totally disappointed.
TERRIBLE SERVICE. Rude staff, tried to overcharge for a group booking and then argued with us over how many guests at our table. Would never return! Food is average
Good Italian Restaurant. Not too stuck up, good atmosphere and good food at a good price.
Great restaurant, great food for the right price!
