I don't know what we ate but it tasted great. You really need to do something about your phone number. You can't run a restaurant from a mobile phone. I tried to call on several times to get message bank.
Consistently fantastic meals - the kitchen serves up really wholesome food each we've eaten there or got take away. Feel a bit of a disconnect from the poor reviews seen below - not at all our experience, though do note the location is not a busy part of Norton St with respect to successful restaurants which can effect ambience/turnover. Grateful to call it our local!
Our whole family eats almost every week at this fantastic family-run restaurant. The food is fresh and made with love, the staff is warm and inviting her and the cuisine is authentic Mexican. We recommend it to all our friends and would do the same for anyone!
The food is tasty and the staff are very friendly. The decor definitely gives a South American feel and there is a feeling that this place is a haven for those who crave a place that reminds them of home that they can come back to regularly. The staff did tend to forget things that we asked for which they were very apologetic about and some dishes were unavailable, unfortunately.
Awesome place, fresh food, fantastic service. Very much the traditional flavors of Latin America specifically Mexico. Thumps up for the owners who've put so much hard work to bring us the aromas, tastes and serving sizes of home...A real treat! When the kitchen is manned by Latinos you know it's going to be authentic!
What a shame; we were very disappointed after all the good reviews. The dips were watery, and the rice was more bland than plain white rice! How? I'm from the southern US and have had plenty of diversified exposure to Mexican and Latin American cuisine for 20+ years. Been to Mexico and Central America. Positive: the beef in the tacos was very tender. Overall: things were completely lacking in flavor and just sucked.
Food is amazing! Great value for money and the staff are wonderful. My partner and I had two mains and BYO'd wine and paid $40. We had a fantastic Pulled Pork Burrito and a chipotle prawn dish. Will be back there again soon!
Had the pulled pork burrito. Where do i begin? It was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!! So flavourful & delicious. It came with a side salad & 3 different sauces / dips - which on their own were incredible. My friend had the Chivito al plato a uruguayan dish. It looked great & according to him tasted even better. We also ordered a sharing platter of Chorizo, Morcilla Black Pudding & Fries served with Chimichurri sauce. It was excellent. Service was both fast & friendly, and they came up to us at least 3 times to ask if everything was ok with our food and if we needed anything. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for tasty Latin American food. Coffee is great to.
Just noticed someone else reviewed this and said "try everything but the mole" - which is of course the dish that I had! It was okay but seemed kind of bland, although to be fair I have never tried it before so had nothing to compare it to. I would like to give this place a second shot and have something I'm familiar with such as the paella. I liked it all the same.
I have been there once so far. The most authentic mexican i have ever had. Food was perfect, friendly service. Worth the wait because the food is prepared properly and hope they never change their ways. Will be back.
