Had been a customer for many years. The last time, one out of three dishes ordered was so old and inedible that we took the unusual step of taking it back. We showed them, comparing it to the similar sweet and sour dish they had given in the same order. We were told there was nothing wrong with the old food! We refused to accept that. We weren't able to get our money back. They eventually - extremely reluctantly and very unpleasantly - relented and gave us a fresh dish. Amazingly and unsurprisingly, it matched the one good dish in looks and freshness. For the price of 1 dish, they were happier to insist on giving bad food instead of making the customer whole or happy. We will not go back.
This is my local Chinese restaurant that I happily frequent. They make the best Malaysian/Chinese satay chicken ever - hint of sweetness and no overpowering curry tossed with onions. Fillet steak with plum sauce is also fine with tender meat, as is the lemon chicken and honey chicken. The ubiquitous fish with ginger & shallot sauce is also okay - solid and inoffensive choice without being too exciting. Service is reasonably quick enough.
Asked for vegetable laksa, got chicken. Took it back into the kitchen and brought out a new one a few minutes later. Pretty impressed with how it tasted. Wasn't till half way through that I saw bits of chicken through it. Called the owner over and she said she would give us a little discount because it was only a "little bit of chicken". When I said that wasn't good enough, she said she would then take half off because we ate half of it. Resolved with us not paying for the meal, it's reasonable to make a new meal without meat for someone who asks for something with no meat. Rough customer service, not cool .
The dishes here are very nice, the mongolian lamb/beef are pretty good, I always get the beef and vegetables : They also have this special sauce for spring rolls that I love. In terms of service, it is alright HAHAHA, you can't expect too much from chinese resteraunt, this ain't fine dining guys where you pay for the service :
It's a good place for quick convenient chinese food around cherrybrook if you cant be bothered to go further to Eastwood. Food is decent. Yes it's oily and may or may not have msg, but this is a <$15 dish, don't expect more
Absolutely horrible, tasteless, bland, yucky food. Even my Caucasian friends swear never to come here again. You've been warned.
