Food is great - service has changed. We love this restaurant, eat there regularly, always in the evening, but the last 2 visits have been disappointing. We go to dinner to unwind and enjoy the food, not dine with the owner of the restaurant. Both nights were very quiet and the owner sat with us, hovered over us. Don't get me wrong he's a good guy but this is a deterrent for us and we haven't been back since : sadly missing the pizzas but....
Excellent food, nice service. I can understand the three-star reviews comments about the owner hovering - he was very sociable with a few of the other tables while we were eating. He stopped by to say hi as we were getting the check. But I would highly recommend this restaurant. It was very nice and not particularly crowded which resulted in very quick service.
Lovely staff and DELICIOUS food. Had the special - Gnocchi, and my partner had Carbonara. We both left feeling satisfied that we got our money's worth.
