for anyone that tries to get the train from here, heres some info for you looking at you, A.F. Kingnthis train station actually closed down in 1992, but is occasionally used for freight, and maybe even possibly used to transport rock candy from the melbourne rock candy wich is down the road from there. but thats just a guess.nand may probably be used in steamrail/heritage listed train tours later in the year! though, ive never been here in person, this trainstation is hertigate listed so, no, it wont be demolished.nmore facts about this train station and the line it was once on, for those who'd like to know.nKyambra station was actually on the Toolamba - Echuca line, inbetween Merrigum Fully Demolished. And Tongala the former passenger platform remains only as a mound, the former goods platform still exists in relatively good condition, with a crane still provided and a transport mural is located near the station site.nthe Toolamba–Echuca line was a former branch line off of the still existing Shepparton line on the V/Line service, and was mainly used for freight services with very little suburbian trains for passengers. the Toolamba–Echuca had 12 Stations including the Echuca Racecorse, and had many sidings, which only 2 are still instact, which further from Echuca station it connected onto the Deniliquin Line, which went up into NSW.nThough, the station is still in use, as the status of the Toolamba–Echuca Line is 'Booked out of service' and is not perminantly closed, coach busses have been runnning since 2020.nwhat once used to be the Deniliquin line, is now the bendigo line with 20 stations ahead, 3 sidings, and 5 other train lines that branched off from bendigo and onwards.nthough, its still unknown when proper V/Line service will return to the Toolamba-Echuca/Deniliquin line, as there are 2 services only on specific weekends, not all.
Waited here all bloody day for a train, or a ticket, or an inspector; but nothing. Turns out they don't have a passenger service?! WHAT?! WHY HAVE A PLATFORM THEN?!
