Wow! Some of the best sashimi and yakitori I've had! All the food was great, service was friendly and helpful, drinks were amazing, even though it was raining it was still nice to be on the beach for dinner. Highly recommend this place to anyone who loves Japanese food
Best place we went to for dinner in Palm Cove. Prices were quite reasonable, service was friendly but the food was amazing. Great selection of Japanese dishes with the standout of course being the yakitori skewers. Okinomiyaki was also a winner on the menu. We sat outside on the balcony which was very pleasant to see out the day looking at the beach whilst we enjoyed our food and drinks. Highly recommend as a Palm Cove dinner option.
Delicious and authentic Japanese food. It's vital to book in advance during school holidays, especially to get a table on the balcony. The udon noodles and karage chicken were amazing as were the spring rolls, dumplings and sukiyaki prepared at the table. We indulged in a jug of sake from their extensive sake menu, which is highly recommended.
When we first entered we were greeted with very kind staff. They cleared a table for us as they said this view is better than the other free empty table which was also outside on the balcony. Got to admit it was an amazing view and experience, the food was very nice. We ended up getting the Chicken Teriyaki, Chicken Karaage & Seaweed salad to share between my partner and myself along with two lemon lime bitters. It was great, I would definitely recommend giving them a try. The scenery from the balcony alone is worth the trip.
I took a friend here to enjoy some Japanese food whilst visiting FNQ. Firstly, thank you for booking a table for me at the last minute. Bookings are a must so text to make a booking. The food was tasty and the menu had a good variety of sashi, sushi, skewers and noodles. Reasonable prices and good serving size. Thank you to the friendly staff who let us try the house sake. The restaurant had a vibrant vibe. Conveniently located near the esplanade with lots of street parking.
It was worst Japanese food I really surprised the kushi was too hard especially the chikin. I think they better change their name. Sukiyaki was so so better to make it at home about the sushi, rice was too big too many things to fix
It was a yummy dinner. We got 10 yakitori pieces, miso soup,rice,chicken, seaweed salad, assorted sashimi which all are definitely worth it. Sake is good and a unique alcohol. Pricey side but worth it. :thanks KushiRecommended dishesAssorted Sashimi, 7 Skewer Set
We had a really nice dinner, food was delicious. Price was reasonable and the staff we all very friendly and pleasant. We would definitely recommend trying Kushi
Kushi was by far the best restaurant I have had the pleasure of visiting, my brother who is incredibly shy has been learning Japanese but never felt comfortable enough to practice in the real world, the staff there made us feel so incredibly comfortable that he was able to talk to them in Japanese! The service was so fast and so friendly, if I lived in cairns I would be here every week!! Please go there if not for the brilliant food but for the amazing, hard working staff!
