Love the cakes and desserts offered here! The chimney cakes are a must get as they are so fun to eat and pull apart - definitely recommend the pistachio flavour! Perfect spot to hang with your friends and family - especially the Darling Quarter location which is spacious and convenient to walk around the Darling Harbour region. We also tried 4 of their other cake ranges and I loved the chocolate espresso roulade and vivid cake special super light and not too sweet!. The service here was very lovely and accommodating, thank you!!
Love having freshly made kurtosh. The place smells amazing as they make each kurtosh fresh for you. It's a 10min wait but totally worth it. I also tried their strawberry and pistachio cake and it was fresh, soft and delicious. Wish I had tried more of their cakes, oh well next trip!Food: 5/5
I loved the desserts and drinks at Kurtosh! The chimney cake is crunchy and fresh, and the cakes are bought by slabs and weight. I highly recommend their strawberry & pistachio cake.Recommended dishesStrawberry and Pistachio Sponge Cake, Nutella Kurtosh with Almond
Good desserts. Cakes by the weight can be pricey. Shop is small so seats can be hard to find. Recommend the kurtosh however they should be more generous with the Nutella, like the authentic ones in Europe
What a beautiful spot. Lovely cafe with very welcoming staff. They are always super busy and it’s worth the wait. Been there so many times and love their coffees and the cinnamon kurtosh and cakes. Kurtosh is freshly made for you. Will be back soon. Highly recommended. Parking: Street and car park available.
Kurtosh is always a safe choice for great dessert! They offer such a variety of cakes, pastries and drinks. My favourite is the cookies and cream cheesecake. The kurtoshs themselves are always a fun little treat. You definitely need to share this with someone else though as I needed something else to go along side it, but its so fun pulling it apart!
Aesthetic bakery famous for their chimney cakes! They have clear windows so you can watch their artistry at work too. We got the Nutella kurtosh my fave and the cinnamon one which was surprisingly very fluffy inside. We also tried 4 of their cakes which you can get in 100g slabs. My favourites were the red forest and the strawberry pistachio. Their chai is also a must - it’s pretty strong!
Have yet to try other cakes but given how good the Tiramisu was, will definitely try! Very satisfying Tiramisus, although portion may vary depending on the slice sizes..? Will come back to try with other menus :Food: 4/5
Probably the best place for sit down cakes in Sydney hands down. The cakes are soft, moist and packed with flavour - it doesn't appear that way on the outside, I really thought the cakes were going to be dense but I was so wrong - they're quite light. The highlight is definitely the strawberry pistachio one but tiramisu, Carrot cake and red velvet are also yummy. Love the vibes of the place and it does get very busy at night. I think a bit of a let down are the drinks - I've ordered an iced/hot chai before and it tastes a bit watered down as well as the hot chocolate being too sweet for my liking. The takeaway sizes imo don't exactly match the prices. But come here for the cakes because they're delicious !
My friend took me here and it was a nice cake shop. The music was really loud however, they were playing K-pop which I found abit unfitting considering this is a Hungarian store. It felt more like a bar/club because of how loud the music was, we left as soon as we ate because of it. But we came at night, so perhaps the environment is different at night compared to during the day. The cake itself was decent, I suppose whoever is a sweet tooth would love it even more. My favourite cake was the vanilla sponge cake to be honest, its simple and delicate. They also offer savoury pastries.
