Took the railway up, and the cable car down. Brilliant experiences both of these with amazing views. No need to sit in the seats when there is a balcony at the back of the carriage to stand on and get the immersive experience! Small area only though - 2 people max.
Spend extra and go gold class. It's worth every cent. The staff were brilliant. Plenty to eat and drink. Lots of photo opportunities. One of the highlights of pur holiday.
I wouldn't normally review a railway station however this one is absolutely stunning. It is worth spending time at the station and admiring fantastic architecture and stunning building that it actually is. Please enjoy the attached photographs which I hope will do it justice..
If you're in Cairns this is a must. The travel up by rail takes approximately 90mins. You can catch the rail back down from Kuranda or my personal favourite catch the skyrail back down and enjoy the scenery from canopy height.
