Story

Kuranda Rainforest Coffee was established in 2007 to serve and promote the superb coffee of the ultimate coffee growing region in Australia – The Atherton Tablelands, specifically the higher altitudes of Mareeba Shire. Our single origin arabica is produced in an environmentally friendly, chemical-free and ethical way in rich red volcanic soil and stored in a climate controlled environment so no further pesticides are required and the beans you can enjoy are free of moulds and other pathogens.
Each day, small batches are roasted with the utmost care and presented for your enjoyment in various ways at ultimate freshness and aroma.

Flavourful and rich coffee, barista even let me take the coffee in one of their mugs to a neighbouring restaurant rather than having to get a to go cup. So good I had a second, now I’m vibrating.
Had a medium flat white with oat milk take away, AUS$6.20. The arabica tasted nice and ‘soft’, the additional A$ for oat milk was 0.70 which is reasonable too - would recommend!
Beautiful coffee. The latte was great and just perfect. The hot chocolate was also amazing. I tried a Coconut cold drip and it was delicious. Just the right balance of flavours between coffee and coconut, it was just fantastic.
Was the best coffee of the holiday and around Cairns. The owner was the most beautiful and lovely person. He loves his job and makes a mean coffee will be buying more coffee online.

Best coffee I’ve ever had. I’m a big coffee drinker, and prefer it black, so the flavour and aroma and aftertaste really matter. I choose this over all other coffee brands on the market, and have it shipped to Sydney. Ghat’s how good it is! :
Doesn't do decaf or a babycino. Meaning that when my family go out for coffee they can cater for exactly one of us. It's 2021, high quality decaf is everywhere, there's nothing high class about not doing decaf and not doing a babycino so the kids can join in is just mean-spirited.
Rated #1 for coffee on Kuranda, but I got a bad one. Milk was overheated with no texture, and the flavour was really weak after particularly asking for a double shot and strong coffee. Pretty disappointing as I have had some great coffees in northern Qld blackbird and sparrows for example so it's a shame my great run came to an end here. I felt I'd been served a scalding hot milkshake rather than something that could be described as a coffee... Maybe I just got unlucky but I won't return to check in a hurry.

This quaint cafe might not have comforts such as air conditioning but its coffee is definitely five-stars! The shop roasts, brews, and sells whole bean and ground locally-sourced coffee, so let's focus on that. First off, it's nearly impossible to find Australian coffee, even within Australia. You know the single-origin beans will be fresh because they're grown in Kurana Rainforest Coffee's figurative backyard. The coffee, both the medium and so-called strong aka dark coffee have a pleasant earthiness without losing complexity. Decidedly un-acidic. Wonderfully aromatic. Check out this cafe and get one of the more unique coffees you can find.
