I've had the Build your own Breakfast a couple of times, and it was so good. Plenty of bacon and all things tasty. Plus the coffee is excellent. Not to mention the value, and friendly service.
We sat down at 10.30am and served us coffees straight away. Food arrived almost 50mins later. Food quality was above average and price adequate. Eggs Benny could do with a bit more guanishing plate looked a bit miserable, vinegar from poached eggs and hollandaise sauce was too overpowering, and bagel would have been superb if toasted. It was a tad busy when we arrived and got the feeling that take away food had precedence over dine-in orders. The raspberry bread slice was burnt on the outside and barely moist on the inside. Not sure if that's the right way to serve it but would have been excellent if it was baked 5-8 mins less. Service was actually super excellent and coffees were OK. Can I suggest dry tarragon leaves for your hollandaise sauce?
We happened to be on King Street for Breakfast as Kuhl- Cher seemed to be the only cafe open apart from Rydges on a Sunday… lucky it turned out to be a great one to enjoy a brunch at! With a great layout of indoor & out door dining, guests are treated to a wonderful menu including a build your own option where I was able to get a GF bagel as my base carb, poached eggs with avocado, haloumi & bacon just how I liked breaky with a green smoothie to wash it all down too.. my friend had the coffee and said it was fab too! Definitely worth a return visit!
Great food, vibe and coffee! Only thing to note was that I asked for an extra hot coffee, but the coffee was not very hot at all.
Very good Ham and Cheese Croissant, I loved their Vanilla Thickshake and their Black Coffee is really nice.Recommended dishesHam and Cheese Croissant
The green juice was average in taste, mostly filled with ice so I could have finished it in 3 sips… and the coffee missed 1/3rd the cup? We just got drinks, pretty average, good space though. The coffee beans holding the table number rod were interesting and definitely different, also there was a spider web on it staff were pretty good though, I think.
A service experience that others could learn from; calm, gentle, professional, and friendly without being in your face. Care was taken even in small interactions, knives and forks made to be placed down straight and evenly spaced. Coffee was excellent and came out quickly. Banana bread was thicker than the plot of a good movie and could not fault the bagel either. 10/10 would recommend. Can die happy now. Please keep up whatever you’re doing here.
I visited the cafe in 2019. Not sure if it is still owned by the same owner. I sat near their coffee roasting machine, and was curious about it. The owner thought I owned a cafe There was bottomless sparkling water/still water on tap. A very nice cafe, and a great location near the hotel. Good for a coffee before a meeting.
Breakfast bagels bloody brilliant, best bacon bringing boundless bliss, bestowed bargain business brunch boost!Food: 5/5
A cafe in a class of its own. The team here have nailed both the the dine-in and take-away experience. Achieving the illusive perfect combo of atmosphere, service, food and incredible coffee. Atmosphere: Bright, large open spaces, plenty of power points and a mixture of rustic wooden / concrete surfaces and modern bright whites. Service: Always friendly and happy to help even when there’re obviously getting slammed on a Saturday morning. Bring your dog and and they’re guaranteed to find a new friend. Food: I couldn’t spare the extra 10 seconds it would have taken to photograph it. Suffice to say the bagels are divine. Coffee: These baristas aren’t messing about. They know their stuff and they’re uncompromising on quality.
