Fun place to visit for that diner vibe. Plenty of memorabilia n 50s style booths n tables. Great feature is all day dining both breakfast and lunch so if you're not into eggs you can have a burger at 9. Parking: Out front of diner, approx 30 spaces n possibility for club parking.
Stopped in for lunch on the way back from Bungal Dam and the Blast Furnace in Lal Lal. Good food, great service, spot on with the coffee and much memorabilia to look at while you wait for your order dine in A bit pricey but that's inflation for you and you are also supporting a small business. Cost $49 ish for chips n hot dog, a jumbo coffee, two filled focaccias, and Lipton Iced Tea so maybe $16 pp ish.
First time visiting today. Loved the friendly service, and old school cozy atmosphere Food & coffee was very reasonable! Taste wasn't wow but happy for the price. No wonder this is one of locals favourite cafes.Food: 4/5

Went in thought I'd buy a nice fresh sausage roll, was disgusted to find they microwave their food. Got a refund and will not be back

Dear every other cafe in Ballarat, nay, THE WORLD! When someone asks for say, Eggs Benny minus the toast, the correct answer is "No worries, we'll give you a discount because we can't charge full price for that!". Not a smug looked follow by the 'ugh, gluten free...' eye roll. If you have a choice of being yourself, or being the Krooze in Cafe, choose Krooze.
It's one of the only places that offers a cooked breakfast in the area. They were extremely friendly but not particularly efficient or organised. I had to challenge the bill 3 times until they could work out their mistake. They were most apologetic. The food, scrambled eggs and beans, was ok. The eggs were a little over-cooked for my liking, but that's personal taste I guess. The coffee was just ok too. Not bad in any way but not good either. I'll probably go back to give another chance and because they offer cooked breakfasts.
This place looks like it has a nice vibe but they are totally disorganised and over priced. Maybe came at a bad time. Took 20 minutes to get a below average coffee.
