Reviews
Our recent experience with KPMG as an external auditor for our operations in the manufacturing sector has been extremely disappointing and has raised serious concerns about the firm's competence and professionalism.nnLack of Manufacturing Knowledge: The assigned audit team had minimal understanding of the manufacturing industry. Their inability to grasp basic operational processes, supply chain flows, and compliance nuances was evident from the start. Their questions often reflected textbook knowledge rather than real-world manufacturing insight.nnCopy-Paste Methodology: The audit report appeared to be a template reused across multiple clients with little to no customization. Key areas specific to our operations were glossed over or misrepresented. This generic, one-size-fits-all approach undermines the value of any independent audit.nnInexperienced Staff: The audit team was largely composed of very young, junior staff – some of whom had never worked in or with the manufacturing sector before. While they may have had academic credentials, they lacked the practical experience needed to evaluate real-world manufacturing risks, controls, and process challenges.nnSuperficial Engagement: Instead of conducting a thorough and insightful review, the team seemed more focused on ticking boxes. Their focus was limited to compliance checklists and standard control tests, rather than delivering value-added recommendations or identifying process improvements.nnMinimal Value Addition: We expected strategic feedback or benchmarking insights, but none were provided. Their communication was often vague, and they struggled to answer technical questions or justify audit positions with clarity or conviction.nnIn conclusion, KPMG failed to meet even basic expectations for an external audit partner in the manufacturing sector. Their lack of industry knowledge, over-reliance on templates, and inexperienced team made the entire engagement feel like a costly formality. Organizations in manufacturing looking for meaningful audits and genuine process insights should look elsewhere.
Can’t handle a voluntary administration properly, are very rude to deal with and take over a week to get simple answers. Thought this was meant to be your job to handle these things smoothly. For the voluntary administration of Different Technologies
Any form of innovation is starved by higher ups. Women try to sleep their way to the top and when they are there they try to haza competition below.
Corrupt firm. KPMG are ripping off the Australian public along with PwC. And kpmg are telling lies to the senate as well as hiding the truth. We Australians deserve better.
