What a great place. Make the journey, it's tucked away, but hugely worth it. Coffee was great. We sat and watched the huge procession of regulars make their way, order, wait for coffee, then a huge smile when taking the first sip! Menu looked and smelt like Singapore, YUM. Service was with a smile and a lah!!!
Great find! Breakfast was delicious. We had congee with chicken and pork floss as well as kaya and eggs. Super fresh and tasty. Coffee good too. Staff were lovely and catered to our toddler, which we really appreciated. Place was buzzing but not overcrowded. Hope to get here again during our stay in Darwin. I would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a coffee / breakfast stop above and beyond the usual. Thankyou!
Fabulous coffee, excellent service and good food. Great hidden away Cafe. Came back to try their Singapore breakfast items, soooo good
Kopi Stop is probably the best coffee shop in Darwin City. The team is awesome. They get to know their regulars and meet the first timers. Their coffee is second-to-none and Seng's latte art is really impressive. Their traditional Kopi not pictured is just like being in Singapore except that there's no saucer to sip it off whilst it cools Thanks Jules, Seng, Dylan, Gale and Nelson to name just a few of the awesome team! Thanks for making our temporary posting in Darwin extra special.
3.75 stars Singaporean style coffee cafe. Venue: easy parking in the front free. Quiet place. Very simply decorated in white. Hawker's stall style setting. But bright, tidy and clean. Not packed indoor. One table with long brenches outdoor. Little kitchen. No toilet in the cafe. --- 7.3/10 Service: busy front desk for take away. Normal waiting time and serving time for dine in. Cozy. Staff are friendly and considerate. The young girl was always smiling. A small cup of tap water is provided. --- 7.2/10 Beverage: mainly serving coffee. Singapore kopitiam drinks are also available. Normal price. Good portion. I love the creative coffee art. Not the common hearts. Different patterns for each cup. --- 8/10 - Hot Latte, $4.8/Cup: good quality. Good price. - Hot Chocolate, $4.5/Cup: OK. Not heavyweight in chocolate, 33% cocoa. Better place for drinks than food. Food is a kind of supplementary here. Food: normal presentation. Slightly pricey. Smaller portion. Serving western toasts, but also Singaporean breakfast ie. Kaya toasts, porridge, and Laksa. - Three Egg Porridge, $14, + Pork Floss$2: on the top, there are sliced Century egg, sliced salted egg not well-cut, and a soft-boiled egg perfectly cooked in the centre. Porridge base was ok. Pork floss was normal portion, add more flavor and texture. --- 7.3/10 - Chicken Laksa, $16.8: Chicken soup base is full of coconut milk and really spicy medium level, good. The chicken shred was cooked well - silky texture. I expected a bit more chicken. There are egg noodles, bean sprouts not much, 3 broccoli florets, spring onions, deep fried shallots & red chili slices. The Lime wedge was so dry, hard to squeeze the juice. --- 7.4/10
Can see the inflation has hit the business hard. One of these photo is from December in 2021 and one is today 2022. The price increased by $1 approximately. The pork portion and the amount of century egg is halved. The century egg is as thin as a piece of paper…Very disappointed to see this big change.
Had kaya butter toasts and small chicken congee. Loved the innovative twist to the Kaya toasts by adding salted butter. Enjoyed poached chicken very much, it was tender and flavourful, loved the shallots too. Only thing is I wish the small sized porridge would be bigger.
The kopi Peng was ok and the kaya toast was a bit dry and not enough kaya. The laksa was very spicy was hoping there are fish cakes.
Service excellent. Coffee is amazing. The team Workers are friendly and patient. Food is yummy. Price is friendly. Environment is good.
I had the poached chicken and pork floss congee with salted egg, ginger, and chilli, which was delicious and filling, plus a condensed milk kopi. The cafe has an airy feel and friendly vibe.
