Pros : Brilliant food. Love the layout of the restaurant. Neat tables. Nice and clean. Decent toilet. Ambience was terrific. Good service. Pricing on par. Didn't charge me for the take away containers. 4.5 out of 5 rating . Cons: The staff need to be more vigilant. I had to get up from my seat multiple times and i literally have to yell at them to get their attention. For example there was no spoons and I had to get up from my chair to call them.I Needed extra napkins so again I had to get up from my chair. Then I needed take away containers so again had to get up and call them. Which was annoying. If the staff was vigilant then this could have been avoided. However we are all learning.just a tip for the restaurant owners and management. Staff need to smile. Doesn't cost to smile. : If you fix this ...one basic customer service aspect then you guys are 10/10. Cheers from Sydney.
We were among the first to arrive for dinner time but unfortunately were given the table closest to the kitchen. Initially I thought because we made the reservation quite late but then I realised that a couple who came without reservation was given a table with better position. Oh well. Seating arrangement aside, the food was mediocre in my honest opinion. We had butter chicken, aloo gobi and kashmiri pulao for dine in and we also ordered chicken briyani for takeaway. The briyani didn’t come with raita like other Indian restaurants and not to mention, the briyani wasn’t ready even after we have finished eating. Overall, it wasn’t bad. Just alright.
Really nice meal, service a little slow and ran out of beer on tap, overall a nice meal. Very flavourful and nice and hot both in temperature and taste.
Ordered 2 mains, a naan and entrée for $70. Delicious and authentic Indian food, the goat curry and garlic naan were tasty af, don’t skip it! Restaurant was clean and food came pretty quick. Service could have been friendlier but it was New Year’s Day so I get it Recommended dishesNaan
Ordered a butter chicken and two naan bread for takeaway. It was 6.15pm and I was told it was a 23 minute wait. I waited for 30 mins and saw people who came after we had got their order. I asked about my order and was told it was coming. The original line I arrived had already disappeared and three other lines appeared but disappeared. I ended up waiting an hour for the food. I don't understand what preparation time is required for curry.... is it not precooked? Just heat it up and put it in a takeaway box? I was thinking to myself it needs to be the best chicken curry I have ever tasted.... it was authentic... nice chicken pieces. The naan bread was great. I felt sick shortly after eating the food.... I ate only half.. and felt like throwing up. Therefore ended up throwing the rest of the food away. I suggest working on their ordering process and operations management. This was my first night in Nowra and I got sick so I went to sleep early.
4.5 stars. Pros: - Authentic Indian food - Punjabi goat was delicious. Must order! - Food came relatively quickly Clean and airconned Cons: - Manager had great service, wait staff a bit slow and didn’t pay much attention - Save money and order normal naan, we got the garlic naan and couldn’t taste the garlic - still had great texture though! - The chicken tikka entree was a bit dry
Butter Chicken so salty I couldn’t finish it. My wife felt sick after eating hers. No baby change table, had to change him in the boot outside in the rain. Price was extremely high cost us $80 per person. Door to get in difficult to open and small children locked it at one stage trapping me outside. Really noisy also. Pretty disappointing experience, the butter chicken here used to be amazing, but after changing hands so many times, it’s now just salty and expensive. Previous owners did have a baby change table, but it appears to have been removed during the renovations. Used to be a quiet restaurant also, but since the renovations it’s concrete everywhere and extremely loud. Pretty burned off, probably won’t be back. A big thing to say also as I’d been frequenting Kohli’s on and off for at least 15 years. Staff were nice though.
Steven from Kohlis went above and beyond to accommodate our large group, including organising our cake and candles and being flexible and understanding at the last minute. The food was phenomenal, with great portion sizes, and Steven’s service was second to none. Highly recommend this Indian restaurant!
Friendly staff, nice layout and food was nice. Butter chicken was a bit on the spicier side, cheese naans were really good. Quite busy for a Tuesday night, waiter forgot about our papadams even after reminding another server about it, the friendly guy behind the counter wiped it from the order but still handed us a bag of them. Great customer service keep it up.
We had the best night! Staff were amazing, friendly and gave great customer service! Food was delicious as always. Even though it was a busy night, everything and everyone was relaxed and happy. Thank you :Food: 5/5
