Always delicious food I love this place
We travelled NZ alot and tried so many foods. Today we visited first time at Kohinoor. To be very Honest this is THE BEST FOOD we had in NZ in Indian restraunts. Food is excellent, well cooked. Had great vege options. No colors in food. My son fell in love with Pashevari Naan. Food is cooked by heart. Staff is great. Would love to say big Thankyou to chef. Lord Ganesha bless you and your restaurant. Thankyou again to all your team
Customer service sucks. There's a big guy that tries to intimidate you if you have doubts about the order. I felt like if I asked more questions he'd beat me up. People like that don't deserve to be at the service sector. There are other jobs where they would fit in better. Food being tasty is not the only thing that attracts customers, you need some pleasant staff too. This will the the only reason I won't be going there or recommending this place to anyone.
Restaurant is a little older / tired, but meals were tasty & reasonably priced. Staff were reasonably friendly but service was lacking... forgot cutlery & water glass when asked, meals came out at different times, rice wasn't hot or supplied with meals, so some had to wait before they could eat their meal, and garlic naan had a lot of fairly raw garlic on it, breads were not served per person but for the table, so was confusing when we ordered different things, and a drink wasn't correct, asked to get it fixed & was "fixed", but still incorrect. Would try again, to see if this was just a one-off.
I love going to Kohinoor Indian Restaurant. A massive selection of expertly prepared dishes. I am working my way through the menu and everything that I try is “oh my gosh” level of taste. Good size dishes that are amazing value. Run by good hard working honest people. I look forward to going there for lunch every Friday. Highly recommended.
Amazing food, one of the best naan breads i have had. We had the lunch special and it was tasty and abundant. I totally recommend this place.
One of the best curries in Auckland! We are on holidays and tried this on our first night staying nearby, have gone back 3 times within the week! Would recommend the lamb korma as a favourite!
A great meal, hot and on time and absolutely delicious. I will definitely be ordering again!
The food was good. I had butter chicken. The price was great too. Although the waiter was a bit interesting. He tried to refuse when 4 of us chose a 6-ppl table, giving us a reason “the table is bigger to get it cleaned”. We just didn’t want to get squeezed into one square table as it was our first time here not knowing how big the plate will be nor the place was serving anybody else since we were early for lunch. Giving us a different reason would have made our experience better.
