Apologies in advance for sounding like a Karen but I visited Kmart today to quickly purchase an item, but unfortunately it was out of stock. I had a brief browse around the store and then headed to the exit without buying anything.nnAs I approached the exit, I made eye contact with the staff member at the door and said, “Thanks” as I was leaving. Instead of acknowledging me or returning the greeting, he simply said, “Can I check your bag?” in an abrupt manner.nnI completely understand that bag checks are part of Kmart’s policy and I have no issue complying. What disappointed me was the lack of basic customer service. There was no greeting, no “thank you,” and after checking my bag, he simply turned his head away without saying anything. I actually had to ask, “Are you finished?”nnA simple “Hi, thanks,” or “Thanks, you’re all good” would have made the interaction feel respectful and courteous. Security procedures are important, but they don’t have to come at the expense of basic manners and customer service.nnJust made me uncomfortable. Maybe stock yournshelves better too. Looked like a jumble sale.
I would like to commend the excellent customer service from this Kmart store.nnI originally placed my order with another branch, but when an item was out of stock, they simply cancelled my order without offering any alternative solution. In contrast, when I ordered through this store and faced the same stock issue, the team went the extra mile by arranging a stock transfer from another store to fulfill my order.nnThis level of commitment to customer satisfaction is truly impressive and greatly appreciated. Thank you for making the extra effort to ensure my order was completed. Customer service like this deserves recognition!
So going to help your elderly mother in a walking frame and paying for your own items through self serve while she uses the manned check outs makes you suspicious even after showing your receipt multiples times, being very transparent, clearly showing all itens match the receipt and just not being dodgy.nWas nice the staff treated me like garbage but not my mother... good to see Kmart staff are just biased and prejudice.
Poor bike assembly. My daughter got pop bike for her birthday in April, on her third ride while she was riding it, the whole front tyre assembly fell apart. I suspect we paid for assembly by Kmart that the bolts were done up by hand. Totally unacceptable and the only reason I can think of why the nut holding the wheel and brake assembly would come apart. NOT GOOD ENOUGH KMART BIKE ASSEMBLY PERSON. I had a 5 year old in tears and had to go searching for nut bolt and washerthat all came unscrewed. This could have been a serious accident had she been riding on the road.
Easily one of the best Kmarts in Adelaide, the store was neat, tidy and clean. The staff where helpful, they had plenty of stock in a variety of sizes! There where no lines, plenty of paper bags and just an overall pleasant experience. I will certainly be returning again If I need to do any shopping in the area.
