Kmart Camberwell is just the place to go for all you quick shopping. This is not the biggest store, but big enough that you should Get What You Want. the quality is good & prices are fair!
I usually enjoy shopping at Kmart, and I’ve had good experiences at other locations. However, my recent visit to this store was very disappointing.nnEverything was fine until we reached the self-checkout area. The customer representative at the billing section repeatedly came over to our checkout counter and kept checking whether we had scanned and billed all our items. While I understand that staff need to monitor self-checkout areas, the way this was handled made us feel extremely uncomfortable and singled out.nnAs international students, we felt unfairly targeted and judged. The repeated checking felt excessive and unnecessary, and it came across as discriminatory. We have shopped at many other Kmart stores before and never experienced anything like this.nnWe hope the store management takes this feedback seriously and ensures that all customers are treated with respect and without bias. No one should feel uncomfortable or unwelcome while shopping.
I visited Kmart in Camberwell and picked up a T-shirt I needed for work. Everything was fine until I got to the checkout. It was around 4:30 PM, and the line was long with only self-service open. Unfortunately, there was only one young staff member trying his best to help the customers. I asked to speak with the manager, Craig, but he didn’t even have the decency to come and talk to me. I ended up paying, which took nearly 10 minutes, and left feeling dissatisfied. I can’t believe they hadn’t allocated enough staff. With only two months until Christmas, it seems like they are already struggling. I worry about what it will be like during the holiday season. I’ve always found the store well-stocked, nice, and affordable. But if the company thinks saving money by not adding enough staff will still provide a great customer experience, they are very mistaken. I do want to acknowledge the staff at the register—they were polite and helpful—but the fact that the manager didn’t even make an effort to show support makes me question how they manage their store.
Kmart is a good place to shop for everyday items in Australia's persistant high inflationary era. Kmart Camberwell is rather well-stocked with good assortments. Friendly and helpful staff providing nice customer experience. It is my go-to store to find out of stock items in Kmart Templestowe or Kmart Doncaster. It'd be perfect if Kmart stores allow customers to request a store transfer if an item is out of stock in one location but available in another location.
I find Kmart Camberwell a good place to scout for out of stock items in other Kmart locations. The staff is attentive and helpful, providing rather nice custom experience. Overall, Kmart Australia is a good one-stop shop for affordable everyday items, especially in this persistent high inflationary era.
