I attended first thing in the morning on the 12 May, 23 only to drop off at Clinipath. There were four of us waiting when the receptionist opened the door at 8:30. She asked us all to put on a mask which I definately do not have a problem with. She pulled a mask out of the counter box and tried to give it ot me. She had her hands on the inside of the mask that would be touching my face. I very politely said that I would like to take my own from the box as she had her hands on the inside of my mask. Her response was a very aggressive, "I sanitize my hands! You're a bit pedantic!" When she realised that I was not going to accept that mask, I was permitted to take my own from the box.She then went on to belittle and embarrass me with her comments to the three clients following me. I was astounded at her rudeness! I did not have the opportunity to tell her that I wear a mask at work all day and due to a serious health issue I am very careful about catching any kind of virus. I didn't have the opportunity. I just had to stand there and be humiliated by her ignorant assumptions. I was thinking about returning to this clinic to see a GP but she has certainly ensured that this will not happen. I will be going elsewhere and telling others about my experience at the Klemzig Medical Centre. I think it is fairly obvious that she is a very negative example of a business front person. I suppose in these times it is hard to find staff and sometimes you just have to take what you can get. In my company we are somewhat more discerning and it would not be possible for this harridan to get past the front door.
My partner went in today with excruciating head pain and was booked into see Dr Paul Chu. Came home crying to me as she was sat down and talked down upon for 15 minutes. Doctor Paul was incompetent in finding and barely bothered to look at her medical history. When you’re in excruciating long going headache and migraine pain as a result of a recent sport concussion and told to just keep taking Nurofen and Panadol after she told him they aren’t helping at all. A recommendation or doctors referral to a migraine specialist or even simply a prescription of pain killers for the excruciating pain is what I thought GPs were paid to do! Appalled by the fact we had to pay our hard earned $70 for a doctor who just wanted to go home. Understandable but would like this information to be passed onto him directly! The doctors here need to let their patients speak and not send them home with zero help! My partner was sent home with zero help, no pain medicine prescribed and told to go home and take medicine that she explained hasn’t been helping at all, where do you expect us to go from here? Not an ounce of help!
My daughter 10 has been attending this clinic since she was born but they wouldn’t take her as a Telehealth appointment because she’s not required a doctor visit for over 12 months forcing me to chase around for an appointment elsewhere because she has cold symptoms not Covid this is really unsatisfactory. If you are looking for ways to waste time and clog up the hospital system this clinic will help you. Oh and aside from the medical staff I’ve found the reception staff very unwelcoming in the past even when I’ve just come to use the phlebotomy clinic.
Male receptionist... Shocking. I'll be taking my family elsewhere as many before me in the reviews have clearly done. I'm amazed you still have him based on how many have been negatively impacted by him.
What is up with the male receptionist? No smile, no friendly greeting and no willingness to help. Why work here if you give off a judgmental, "I hate the world vibe." Him alone is so off-putting to this clinic.
Went to Clinpath to have my child and I's bloods done. Clinpath pathologist was very professional and lovely. However I cannot say the same for the male caucasian receptionist at the medical centre. I walked in with my 15y/o child and unfortunately had to interact with this receptionist at Klemzig Medical Centre as part of the Covid-19 check. My child was not very well-kempt, was wearing a hoodie and headphones and I was speaking on their behalf as they currently having some mental health issues. I was speaking on behalf of my child and answering the questions, and this man was looking at my child with raised eyebrows and indicating they speak to him directly. Even when my child replied I was with them, he replied "you still have to answer my questions" which was: have you had any respiratory symptoms in the last 2 weeks? in a very condescending way. He then continued to ask questions to my child, instead of me even when I indicated I could answer these questions, even when he could see my child was uncomfortable speaking with him. Thankfully there were only 3 questions. I could not speak to him directly to call him out, because I did not want to cause any further distress to my child. I cannot believe he is working at the front desk in a medical centre and is able to speak to clients in this forceful and condescending manner.
Absolutely appalling customer service. I can’t believe that this company would allow reception staff to speak to patients like that. Every time we come here they are disgustingly rude and judgmental. They have no respect for people at all.
Took appointment as a general check up paid 120 bucks very high rate compare to other medical. Had Uber medical form with me so I asked to doctor Are you able to fill this for me ? He said yes. They changed description in my receipt that I specially came for Uber form , however I booked as a general check up. You guys have to inform patient first that do you mind if we will change description? Because that description , you can’t claim from your insurance company, they know I am overseas maybe that’s why they did Discrimination and I loose my money. For Uber form normal fees is 50 bucks and maximum 77 , so no one can charge me 120 bucks Don’t know how this clinic is working.
The online booking portal would let me book but upon arrival the clinic would deny to see me being a new patient. What a big let down! How can one be an existing patient without being a new patient for once. Such a waste of time n energy.
