Overall is yummy. The taste is a bit salty. The average price 10-12$ per dish. The noodle is so yummy but I want more pork in dish. The good is they provide a free drinking water.
Been a customer since its inception. This is a Malaysian restaurant. I am here usually for its mie kampua and it always delivers. The noodle is on the thinner side compared to mie kampua in other Malaysian places. Tried their durian chendol. Loved the strong durian smell. Not everyone's cup of tea but that's what I liked. Chendol was ok but loved the overall flavour. Portion is decent and price is competitive. Service is efficient and food comes out relatively quick. Bowls, cutleries and water are self serve.
Summary: tasty food at reasonable prices. Probably due to its location near Curtin, prices are reasonable and within reach of the high student population. Good service and tasty food. Chef is good with his wok! Ordered: Chicken Noodle and fried rice and fried Kuey Teow. Recommend the noodle and kuey teow morw than the rice which was tasty but a little wet for my fancy. Food is served lightning quick!
The food was quite nice and prices are reasonable. It's not the best in Perth in terms of taste, but it's definitely one of the better restaurants for Asian food. Staff were relatively pleasant. The shop was busy but there were some empty tables available at lunch time. Tables were very small and so it was hard trying to fit all of our food and drinks on the tiny table. The shop itself is very nice and new. The cutlery is self serve and you order and pay at the counter. There is plenty of parking available as this restaurant is part of a shopping centre. The location is convenient as there is a Coles inside the shipping centre.
Ordered a Laksa. It looked good on arrival but sadly it was not so tasty. Three small prawns. Two small slices of tofu and several slices of squid ball? Small amount of noodles. Quite amazed as I was expecting much better and more!! First time I have been here. However I will be back regardless to try the other dishes which im sure will be better. I hope to update this review with positive info after the next visit! Update: Ok, so I got some Mie Goreng. Yikes, way too much dark soy. Egg noodles, were on the too soft side. Lacked vegetables and meat. Terrible, ended up in the bin. Budget cooking with very little ingredients. I dont think much is cooked fresh. Bulk foods pre cooked, mixed heated and served. Very very disappointed!!
I have posted about Kitchen Inn Express before, and it's still one of my favourite Perth restaurants. The staff here are great, always smiling and always happy to help, whether it's a recommendation or a special request, nothing is too hard. The food is quick to the table and always delicious. While we have our favourite dishes, we try to pick something we haven't had before from time to time too, and we haven't had a bad dish yet. My daughter loves it here, and we brought one of her friends along recently and we now have another convert to the world of East Malaysian cuisine. We're always looking forward to our next visit :
So far too cheapest and valuable place to eat in Waterford
Salted fish and chicken fried rice. Minimum of $15 for EFTPOS. On arrival of my dish I could see that some of the rice and vegetables were burnt. That could explain why I waited so long. Working through the meal I noticed that the chicken was not diced as it should be for this traditional Cantonese dish. The vegetables were frozen peas, carrots and sweet corn that could have been cooked longer. My major complaint is how the salted fish flavour wasn't distributed evenly but in random places suggesting that the dish had been added towards the end without much stirring. Would I recommend to this dish - no. Would I recommend this place - no.
Very disappointed I bought a crispy chicken rice takeaway, 5mins later I started having it, and the chicken was ice cold. They did the fried before I order, and didn't re-hit it.
More 3.5. Very spacious but self service not evident when you walk in without taking note. Staff were too busy on phone to draw their attention to missing menus, etc. Usually even at self serve restaurants, staff will at least bring the menus and advise to order at the counter which we're accustomed to. We ordered seafood hor fun, fried kuey teow and bbq noodles. The food portions were small for the latter 2. The taste for the first two had wok hei. The CKT even had enough varied ingredients for it to be interesting, and not just starch. Somehow, however, it wasn't memorable enough for us to return.
