Very authentic Japanese restaurant in the lower north shore. The sashimi is very fresh. Same with all the other ingredients. We got most of our foods from the daily specials and we did not disappointed at all. Absolutely a hidden gem and definitely worth another visit.
In my opinion, the best Japanese restaurants in Sydney area. The iron chef has never compromised the quality of foods despite cosy hospitality + humble pricing. If I were the inspector of Michelin Guide, I would give him three stars.
Not a kid / baby friendly environment but the food are great. Japanese chef and waiters makes you feel that you are eating in Japan.
Excellent Japanese food north of the bridge. The sushi and sashimi are what to go here for and the other dishes are great too
Best sushi on the lower north shore. A hidden gem. The fish is fresh and full of flavours. The sushi rice is made just right with an airiness about it.
Absolutely love the decor and ambience of this cute restaurant! The kitchen and premises are very clean and the furniture made me feel like I was actually in Japan! The food was great, sashimi is fresh and delicious. The sizzling stone wagyu was very unique and yummy too. Only complaint is that the prices are a bit to steep - you can go to a special yakiniku restaurant and get better tasting wagyu for the same price, if not cheaper.
Good quality authentic Japanese food and cosy comfortable seating; slightly on the expensive side though considering the portion is fairly small. Sake is also on the expensive side for the quality too.
This is probably one of the best Sushi/Sashimi places in Sydney. The fish is fresh and is on par with those I had in Tsukiji Fish Market in Japan. Their tempura is also very good. The bad reviews I read about this place is mainly about rude service. I have been here on 3 occasions and I was never treated rudely. I find their service to be excellent on all the 3 occasions. The waitresses were extremely friendly and always have a smile on them. It was on a Saturday night and the place was quite crowded this recent visit. We went as a party of eight with a baby and a dog. When we arrived 10 minutes before the appointment time, our reserved table was ready, including a baby chair! The food came out at a reasonable rate after we ordered. I would go to this restaurant more often if I were not staying 1.5 hrs away. 5 stars for food and service.
Tucked away from the main street in a very cozy yet open environment, this little sushi place lives up to it's beautiful name "Kisuke". Service with a smile and value for it's lunch special menu was the highlight of our first visit. The sashimi was as fresh as it can get. The green tea has a distinct fragrance that compliments our meal. And if you are lucky to sit by the edge of the glass balcony, you can enjoy watching lovely pets coming and going from a boutique pet hotel nearby. Cant go wrong to take your date here.
Relaxed, flexible, diverse range of foods. Friendly staff, cooperator and good bedside manners. Delicious foods, lots of flavour. Recommend the sukiyaki for people who like more rich flavoursfor approx. 2-3 people each includes a safe stove, sukiyaki sauce, beef, onion, carrot, mushroom, spring onion and more. Family friendly, would definitely come back!
