Recently not in railways service on 7th & 8th October which is Saturday and Sunday reasons why railways work moment.nBut Rail replacement bus services available now instead of train for both days only.
I commute to this station daily. Big props to Laura who I always see doing her best to help people. The station itself could benefit from drinking fountains there is potable water in the bathrooms but they are often closed. Also there is a cell reception blackspot between here and Sutherland that needs to be fixed.
First passenger trains run on newly duplicated track on the Cronulla LinenOn Monday 19 April 2010, the first passenger trains began operating on the newly duplicated Cronulla Line.nnThe completion of the Cronulla Line Duplication project brings the number of Rail Clearways projects completed by TIDC to eight. Rail Clearways projects are improving capacity and reliability across the CityRail network.nnThe project involved the installation of new track, upgrading of signalling systems across the entire line, easy access upgrades of Kirrawee and Woolooware stations, extensive work at Cronulla Station, construction of new embankments and retaining walls, electrical upgrades to Sutherland and Caringbah substations and a new substation at Gymea.nnThe project was delivered by TIDC in an Alliance with John Holland Group and United Group. The project’s successful completion and commissioning is a major achievement for approximately 3,000 hard working people who delivered this important project for the people of NSW.
Clean tidy it's one of the better looked after stations.
