I came here on a Saturday night for a friend's birthday. It was absolutely packed. We managed to find a table in a quieter part of Maddie's Restaurant. I noticed the staff were quite busy, but were still able to accommodate us. I liked the decor and the food was decent, but I wouldn't come here for a quiet meal.
Love cooking my own steak at this place. The counter meals are great too. Awesome place for pub grub, and generally family friendly.
Very large servings and very tasty. The room is very loud. You can choose to sit in the normal dining room or go to the "cook your own" side where there are large barbeque-like hot plates and you get to stand around and do your own thing with the steak/chicken/etc.
Very unpretentious. Food was great at reasonable prices. Staff were friendly and accommodating despite it being quite busy. Will be back!
Good pub food. Fri lunch and almost every outdoor table was reserved. Good problem to have. Beer garden would be good for a Sunday session.
A great pub and food was also great with the portions being of just the right size. So many times you go to pubs or clubs and the servings are huge the Kingston Hotel did is just right. The bonus with the Kingston is that you can take your puppy with you outside only of cause and they have a dog menu. Winner

Every time we visit Canberra , we eat here. The service is so friendly, food is great and the atmosphere is second to none. Wish we had this venue in Sydney! Keep up the great job everyone.
