A small shop with not just knives. Decent selection compared to what you'd find at a non-specialist store, but "king" they are not. Limited selection in terms of brands.

If you believe that all steels and knives are the same you would be mistaken. The King of Knives's quality of knives and the performance of the knife is very much linked to the materials it is made from.

I went in to buy a steel to sharpen my knife at home. They pointed me towards a modestly priced option. Didn't try to up-sell and overcharge. I really appreciate their honesty in that regard. They could have tried to push for a more expensive option.
