HIGHLY DISAPPOINTING. NOT THE SAME. I’m disappointed in this cafe. I used to love this place and it used to be super busy and popular. They must have changed owners cause the menu is terrible and the quality is atrocious. And there’s no one here. I didn’t check the reviews as I thought it would be like how it used to be. I haven’t been here for some years. But it’s no longer Asian fusion. Most of their drinks on the menu wasn’t available. I ordered the steak. And it was terrible. For the price. I got a steak the size of my palm and I have small hands. It’s meant to be on a bed of Asian vegetables but instead i got fried broccolini and old stringy asparagus. On top of that they clearly can’t cook a steak cause they had to cut it open to see if it was cooked medium rare. Cause I got my steak received with a cut on it. And even then it was overcooked and dry. I question if it is a sirloin. My partner ordered the chicken burger which was fine. It was ok nothing to rave about but at least that was sized appropriately. Coffee was a little burnt I would say below average. How sad.
Lovely service, truly. Some of the best service I’ve experienced. However, unfortunately, the food just isn’t good.. especially for the price. The burger patty was quite rare and the steak was freezing cold - which is odd, as it JUST arrived on our table so I have no idea how that could be.. anyways, their drinks looked good - so you could try their drinks I guess!
Very convenient for Macquarie Centre and some outstanding menu items. Prompt delivery of food and drink even during a busy period. Loved the crunch of the chicken for the Chicken Waffles dish. Negative for the pounding overbearing music, cluttered interior, and staff seeming a bit disorganised.
Located just around a 6-7 minutes walk from Macquarie Centre, it’s a cute little cafe that offers some different dishes compared to your typical cafe. Parking on Saunders Close isn’t always easy to find so you could always park in Macquarie Centre and walk over. The ‘Pass-the-Crab’ was tasty. The serving of soft shelled crab was good and hot and crispy when served. The pasta wasn’t spicy at all and lacked a tiny bit of flavour but was still a good dish overall. They also offered congee with fried dough stick which you don’t often see at a cafe! I was going to try the taro latte but as my pasta dish seemed quite heavy already, I ordered the coconut juice, which was super refreshing and had young coconut flesh in it too! There’s also a small kids menu for the little ones. Our waitress was super nice and friendly too. There’s both outdoor and indoor seating.
Conveniently located away from the hustle and bustle, with plenty of street parking nearby. The menu is creative and the prices are in the low 20's for a main. The portions are generous and the flavours are awesome, this small kitchen is punching above its weight! I always get Pass-Tha Crab... great crunch in the fried crab and the lemon grass in the tomato sauce gives it a great fusion taste.
