A large variety of Asian cuisine cooking products. The staff were friendly and offered help when asked. There is a fresh meat Butcher counter, frozen foods, fresh asian greens, canned foods, crockery and cooking utensils and woks. Also a good range of noodles, spices, sauces, oils, teas and snacks. Many products have limited or no English on them, however picture descriptions help. There is Wheelchair access but limited room to move around. The aisles are not wide and this store is busy.
Zero star! Absolutely disgusted with the customer service I dealt with. The middle age lady at the checkout with the worst attitude ever had the gut asking me to check the product before buying as they do not provide any refunds or returns. I told her that I can't be checking every items I'm buying and she continues to argue that the customer needs to check it. I was gobsmacked by the way she handles us.. It seems like my fault for being sold an expired product dated back in July 2021!!! I bought this on 04/02 so this product had been expired for 7 months..She gave the refunds and refused to serve me with the rest of the items I'm purchasing by saying she doesn't want to sell me those and walks away with the product. Do they think Kim Wang is the only asian grocery store in Chinatown? Well goodbye and I will not recommend this place unless you wanted to be harrassed and get your day worsen by this disrespectful lady. Hope the shop's partners will do something about her attitudes as obviously all the google review about the rude lady which is obviously the same person..
You local purveyor of chicken feet and pigs trotters! Pretty much every asian food variety under the sun and a whole aisle of noodles and green tea. Nice sweets too, and there is always good kitchen utensils for your house too. Fon’t forget the hong baos too..!!
Good prices. The greens at the front of the shop bok choy, Chinese broccoli etc are usually as cheap as anywhere else in the market and half the price of coles or woollies. Great variety of ingredients, good place to shop. Sale items are often out of date, so make sure you check
I have read all the reviews and came to conclusion that the staffs from this Asian grocery have been mistreating the Asian customers even though they are Asians themselves. Went to their shop yesterday and I was targeted by one of their staffs who check through my bags. I regret for being polite to them. There are many other better Asian groceries in Chinatown anyway.
I go here all the time and the staff are super friendly, great Supermarket and has lots of hard to find items.
Love going in here, a very good selection of asian sauces, spices, pastas, biscuits, rice, fresh meats, vegetables, eggs & frozen foods.
We are on holidays from Victoria and stopped by here for some of our favourite things to stock our hotel room. The kids also bought a drink each. When we got to the register the lady informed us that only one of the drinks was a special price as we'd bought two different types. We told her we knew and she said some people get it mixed up so she wanted to double check and then she gave us some pomegranates for free. Absolutely beautiful service and fairly well stocked, especially for dried goods.
LOL~ I was going to buy four pigtails this morning. The staff said to me that he could help to cut each in half. He didn’t wait for my response and turned back to chop and pack the tails. Finally, when I got back home and found what was in the pack, two whole tails, and each of the other two tails missing half. What such stealing and cheating~~~
What I appreciate about Kim Wang is the friendly staff. Once at checkout the lady advised me to keep the dried shrimp I was purchasing in the fridge to keep it from going off. Another time when buying meat for BBQ pork the man kindly told me how to prepare the meat as he handed the cut to me.
