Very, very good pizza! I am very fussy when it comes to pizza it's in my blood and have not found many good pizza bars in Adelaide. However this place stands out in a crowd of pretenders. So, if you want a proper pizza with great quality topping, this is the place to go. They also listen to how you want it made and cooked I like it cooked a bit longer in the oven. I rarely give 5 Stars but with this place it is really well deserved.
I initially loved this place. But after subsequent visits I haven't been so impressed. As the other reviewer said, the female chef seems to know best. Tonight my pizza was a bit soggy, ingredients were all frozen bulk low quality... And it took about 25 minutes longer than I was quoted on the phone. Service was friendly and apologetic, but the product was too bad.
I so wanted to like this place. Prices are good and the garlic bread is yum. Pizza had a generous amount of toppings but almost no cheese or sauce meant they didn't stay on the base so it was a sloppy mess. It could have done with some extra time in the oven. Ordered an extra garlic bread and it didn't arrive.
As a chef I think these guys make a great pizza ! The female pizza chef is probably the best. Seafood pizza has nice fresh large prawns with lots of flavour . Not too thick or thin on the base and never soggy! The place could use a bit of a revamp as it does not look very appealing to the eye but don't let that stop you from having a try ! 9/10
As of October 30 2017 Kilkenny pizza bar now is under new ownership and management. We hope to provide all customers with a high level of customer service and make everybody feel welcome. For starters, if you're going to advertise large pizzas as 12 inches then they should measure 12 inches, our two measured 11 inches. Secondly ,the base was, in my opinion, too thin and rubbery. Thirdly, the tomato sauce base was almost non existent, and to top it off, the ingredients were completely tasteless. Apart from that, the garlic bread didn't look home made, and was under cooked. On the upside, the staff appeared to be very friendly. Now called Sylvesters Pizza Bar.
Best pizza bar in Adelaide by far. Can't beat the customer service, price but most of all taste at this place. It's truly tastes authentic and they delivery quick and on time. Recommended :
It’s was a terrible service on cash counter with customer handling although been racist with some Uber drivers. The food was bad I had one pizza which wasn’t cooked but I complain to the manager he wasn’t listening me instead of the there was no return policy. So I never ever gonna food from there my whole life.
I had a pizza with extra olives & anchovies on a special..it was absolutely delicious..my friends were equally impressed ..10 our of 10..will be getting another this Saturday..#luvyawork
