What a mess! Order a mixed meat on rice and my partner Ordered a mixed meat on chips. Lamb is extremely chewy and minimal chicken on both. Took 20 minutes to make, chips were cold and had to ask for salads extra! Turkish is our favourite cuisine and we have eaten at dozens of Turkish food joints. 1/100 do not recommend. This is easily the worst Dish I’ve had from a Turkish restaurant. It’s seems the Owner changed their reply pulling an absolute bluff to cover their poor quality kebab shop, we didn’t get a combo meal neither did we wait 10 minutes before eating our meals. You left your chips for 10 minutes out of the fryer waiting for the chicken to cook hence why they were cold. We won’t need to worry about ordering “the right thing” next time because we won’t be back. Cheers.
Recently had lunch at this Turkish cafe in Napier. Food - Yumm. Staff & Service - excellent. Ambience - artistic. Loved it.

Beautiful ambience. Friendly efficient staff. Delicious vegetarian mezze. Every item on the plate was perfect! I will definitely eat here again soon! Edit: I have returned several times and I can confirm that the vegetarian mezze is consistently excellent. Furthermore, the beef tagine and chicken guvech- saganuki are delicious! Both perfect for a cold winter’s day If you forced me to pick a favourite: Winner, winner chicken dinner!
Definitely a restaurant to avoid in Napier. Had the worst experience after going to Kilim restaurant for about 15 years. At, 1pm, 1may 2022, we were waiting a long time in the restaurant and, had no service at all. We were given the complete menu, and was rudely told by the person in charge, Steve that, the menu, which we were given was not being served for lunch. after the long wait to get service In the mean time he had served the clients who went to the counter, Steve, then blamed, us that were heard him wrongly, when we had made the mistake. And that the menu was on the board, see menu, limited board . My partner is handicapped and Steve aggravated him so badly. We will never ever go there again. The quality of the dispeakable service is really bad. Definitely a restaurant to avoid in Napier.
Very nice dinner - a Monday. First time they served GF Brownie - yum, large portions. Everyone very happy.
Great Mediterranean spot with a great Menu too which makes it hard to decide. So much flavor in the food and very fresh. Friendly staff! Great service. Will definitely be back again. HalalFood: 5/5
Highly recommend Kilim Cafe! The food was delicious, well presented and fresh! Excellent service and warm inviting atmosphere. Best restaurant visited on our trip to Napier.
Good range of Turkish food. The dessert sampler plate was good value. Booking a table recommenced as it gets busy, maybe because of the limited days it is open.Food: 4/5
