Disappointing. Wanted highlights which turned out looking like all over bright. Tried to get it toned down and the hairdresser kindly obliged till after hours but still not what I expected. Maybe cos I got peroxide ands all over colour which was unexpected and not advised. They also spilled some on my clothes. On the positive the hairdressers were very sweet and tried their best to help. Seems i should have read other reviews first.

Staff was really nice, but I felt the hairstylist didn't know what she was doing. I asked for brown hair with a few red highlights, hair has turned out bright orange and the condition isn't great. Wouldn't recommend coming back here.

Probably the worst haircut I've had in my life. I have long hair and the hairdresser didn't even section it to trim it :( they spent less than 5 minutes on it and now I'm going somewhere else to get it fixed because I'm too nervous to ask them to try again. Visited on Friday night around 7.30pm Edit - reply to question. Don't know the hairdressers name but she was either Maori or Islander. It was only her and an Asian girl there on Friday evening.

I went there this past Monday afternoon. Asked for a balayage and got a little consultation from one stylist and was happy to go for it cause it sounded like she knew what she was doing. I came back for my appointment but I got another lady, she and the first stylist start talking In their language probably telling her what I wanted but it still made me feel uneasy thinking she might not know what to do when she could of asked me but I thought I’d show her the same pic anyway and told her that I wanted a balayage and no streaky highlights. She then ask me what colour I’m aiming for and gives me a chart, I picked the ashy blonde or anything slightly darker cause I know with dark hair you can’t achieve it on the first go. The lady was quite nice, customer service was okay but She really didn’t talk to me, figured out her and the others English is a barrier with the customers. When my hair was being washed she showed me the colour and asked if I was happy with it, I definitely was BUT when she dried it and straightened it, it was completely different. It’s streaky, random, yellow, there’s patches, and uneven tones where she missed out putting on the bleach and not leaving it long enough so the colour is dark brassy orange. I know for sure my stylist saw the mistakes but didn’t even acknowledge it. Why? It’s better to say something than thinking I’ll be dumb enough to realise. And even TRY to fix your own error on someone else’s hair that THEY are already paying mega bucks $$$ on it. They rushed my hair straightening and the first stylist came along and helped out, again speaking in Chinese and I heard her say ‘highlights’ pointing at my hair and then explaining what ‘balayage’ is as if she’s telling her off. Really unprofessional here guys, communication needs to step up and to be honest if you don’t know how to do something, just Be honest and say that you don’t know instead of taking people’s hard earned money. $210 down the drain and all I’ve got is bad comments about my new ruined hair. I was going to say something but with customers still inside I didn’t want to cause a fuss and the past few days I’ve just been trying to lie to myself thinking it’s okay and it should just be a learning curve for them. But after really long and hard consideration I regret that I need to speak up. It shouldn’t happen at all. I’m more upset about my hair than angry at Kess.

Dead ass absolutely ruined my hairline. Hit me twice in the face with the clippers and couldn’t speak a drop of English. Probably the worst haircut I have ever had. Train your staff properly.
