One of my local fish and chips store, very busy on Friday evening. Freshly deep fried fish and it also have souvlaki. The flake was quite big end the chips size are quite generous too. The price have gone up recently like everything else, still quite a good value.
Outstanding service, staff always friendly and remember your name if you are a regular. George owner is a great guy. The kitchen and food prep area is spotless. My chips were hot and crispy, just how I like them. The chicken schnitzel burger was awesome. Thanks to Natalie who made it. Overall a great fish n chip shop.
Best chips in the area. Fish was tasty but nothing special. Lot burger was pretty good too. Best thing about the place was definitely the service, so very friendly and welcoming.Food: 4/5
Fresh and good quality. Suggestion: Season the fish with a little with salt before covering in batter. Incl salt and pepper in the batter mix. Add a slice of lemon to the box.Food: 4/5
Always busy and for good reason. George makes the best fried flake I've had. The batter crunches like potato chips and the flake itself isn't covered in black spots and bruises. Souvlaki is great could write all day about this little beast of a shop. Will certainly be keeping the many years of patronage going. Thanks George and co. Oh and real Sth Melbourne Dim Sims, not just large no name brand claiming to be the real deal.
The staff where friendly and really nice, unfortunately not a fan of the food, chip seemed like the had been reheated, the dimmys where just cook needed longer, potato cakes where yuck tasted discusting not sure if it's the oil as the fish tasted the same and was so dry on the inside, the burger was tasteless it was a burger with the lot but just had no taste, But the store was clean and the staff where great but had much better else where with the food
Really good value $9.90 pack of 2 "fish bites" they are huge!, Chips, dim sim and potato cake. Owner was friendly and everything was cooked fresh and crunchy.
Seems alright, calamari seemed to be mass manufactured shame because very light on content heavy on crumb. If things like this were improved I'd rate it highly.Food: 4/5
Run by Pete who is always there excellent staff who are polite and friendly. Never had a bad experience!!!! Always happy to go there knowing that I'm going to get a great meal Food: 5/5
The seafood pack i had included a very generous piece of blue grenadier, serve of chips, scallop & mussel that were all fresh, crispy & tasty. Although tbh i prefer flake in the packs that most places use so i guess i can ask for it next time. One point off because the oil could've been drained a bit better. I hadn't been here for about 3 years tho because the last owners jacked the prices up alot, but i thought i would have a look again & it seems to be different owners who have much more reasonable prices. Friendlier staff too which is always a plus, i shall return.
